winz Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 That's fair price. This might drag me back to FSX, as this is the kind of plane I like fly there the most. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
andysim Posted July 28, 2011 Author Posted July 28, 2011 Learning and flying that thing'll be a full time job. You'll have to retire from active service in the A-10 and maybe transition into the reserves :D. I hope to find the time for both hehe.
aaron886 Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Oh my god that HGS... I want this! I've never really cared much for payware civilian aircraft addons for FSX, but if I could afford a rig that would do this justice, I would buy this without hesitation. I cannot get over the collimation and overall look of that HGS glass...
Buzzz Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) [bitch mode ON]It's so detailed that they forgot to correctly close the model. You can see the airport terminal in a gap between the sun shade and the panel when he looks at the dust on the chronometer...[/OFF] But it's really impressive. Edited July 28, 2011 by Buzzz
MTFDarkEagle Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 [anti bitch mode ON]That was the beta model :) The developers had a guy (or a couple of guys) going through the entire virtual cockpit to scan if there are any holes. There are non now :)[/OFF] Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
andysim Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 yep, they used polyfiller to fill in all the gaps =). :)

Migo Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 They got another "Takeoff Video" on their site. But why do they sell training videos ? Are they so god damn money hungry or what ? For 60 bucks they must be able to throw some free tutorials with it...
some1 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 You'll get complete manuals set and written tutorials with the plane. The training videos are made by another company, unrelated to PMDG, which specializes in such stuff (long, more than 10h scripted videos with complete walkthrough and advanced procedures). Maybe they share some profit from the videos, I don't know. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
Migo Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Okay because they wrote "This is by no means how we teach this setup in our actual video training product, but it does give you a lot of nice little bits of knowledge." That sounded to me like they would tell you how to start, but you have to buy another "video product" to get the full/real procedure. :>
some1 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 It just means that the style of the training videos made by that company (Angle of Attack) is different that those 737NGX previews. There is a preview of their training video for another PMDG airplane: http://www.flyaoamedia.com/md11/ Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
andysim Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Chris just made this video to show us the main features of the NGX, nothing more. Hes not trying to sell anything but to let us know what an awsome aircraft awaits us in a few days time. Btw The training they do provide is fantastic (i have the MD-11 training thats over 11 hours!!) I really do recommend getting the NGX training when its ready as they are doing this aircraft training bigger and better than anything else thats come before. Even if you know the NG inside out you will still learn new tricks. :)
CrashEd Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Yep, the AoA training is fantastic. I have their 747 DVD and it is far better than wading through (literally) thousands of FCOM pages. I'll be buying it for the 737. Needless to say, I also have the manuals. Check out these bad boys: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ProductCart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=20 One day to go :)
winz Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Never heard of the AoA trainings before, so downloaded the free basics package to take a sneak peek, and I'm impressed with what I'm seeing so far. High quality and polished product. So I'll most likely get the 737NGX trainig set once it is out. :) The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
andysim Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 yea i got the full set of manuals too hehe, i dont really have any other hobbies than flightsims so spending a little is not bad thing. It would be awsome if AoA did a DCS-a10 training hehe!!.
Yskonyn Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I have all the manuals I need as well and it didn't cost me a penny! ;) Can't argue about that price, can you? I am eager to see how well NGX performs alongside Boeing's official manuals. Still no word about release, though. CrashEd Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Can't argue about that price, can you? We're not. Andy clearly stated that he likes to spend his money on flight sim goodies. Me too in fact. Sooo close to the release. I can feel it. The tension is mounting over on 'the other' forum :smilewink:
