1. Have you guys integrated FC3 into your online play? I really love flying the Su-27 and MiG-29, and am looking to learn how to fly them properly, with proper procedures, and most importantly proper comms.

2. Do you guys have a dedicated server, or are your operations entirely event based? I'm looking for a place where I can pop on and try to learn proper formations flying and communication without someone ripping my face off for not being an expert at it.

I've only been flying DCS for a few days now, but I'm loving it. Haven't played a sim since F4:AF years ago.

1. We use FC3 but proper procedures and proper comms? Rarely happens. FC3 usually turns into a lot of fun but no seriousness.

2. No dedi server. Nobody will rip your face off. Hell, I still can't fly properly. :D

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Hello, and you're welcome!

You don't need to know anything to join us. You'll learn as you go as it fits you. If you don't know something, you can ask anybody on the boards or on TS, anytime. We all learn best in MP, from other players.

Proper comms, especially for FC3, depends on how correct you want to get. Mostly, we fly for fun. In the A-10, we employ "semi-correct" comms.

I don't know how much FC3 is going on at the moment, because I miss out on a lot of flight lately, but it must be picking up speed.

Again, you you like to join, you're welcome!

I quote Supersheep

Hello B1,

seems like your offer is tailor-made for me:

I have

-never flown online before

-a kind of basic understanding of the systems

-poor gun accuracy

-no knowledge of procedures

-not mastered aerial refueling

-landed the plane w/o damage (no winds...)

-cannot commit any fixed time

-and: currently, there are holidays here in Germany :P (I speak english, though)

Would you welcome me or am I "too casual"?

Warning: I'll ask more than I can contribute :)

I think I will join you.

Great initiative!

Supersheep

All of this applies to me. Although I can commit to any time during weekends and 2pm to 6pm EST on weekdays.

I consider myself a quick learner, also I prefer to learn the best method from other people who have the experience I.E multiplayer.

Let me know if you guys have any questions for me.

I've already registered :) waiting for authorization.

Guess I'd introduce myself.

Handle in forum and in game: ArkRoyale

I just bought FC3 and a new joystick yesterday. So I'm still trying to get a feel of things.

I prefer to fly the F-15C; so most likely I'd be flying top cover for the A-10 folks which seem to be popular here. Though I can also transition to the Su-27 and the Su-33, as soon as I configure the controls for it.

I can download whatever voice software you're using...

My previous experience include:

FC2

LOMAC

Novalogic's F-22 L3 (arcade, yeah i know..)

I'm still a bit of a newbie; my performance depends largely on luck rather than skill. So I hope I'd get some training with you guys :)

We use Teamspeak (a mic isn't required, I listen in and type really quickly.) Hope to see you there.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

I was just looking for a online group to join and your group looks like a lot of fun.

I have only been playing for a few weeks but still don't know much of the A10c systems lol.

I only have a basic joystick (T.16000m) but I did buy trackir5 a few day ago and that was the best thing I could of done.

Will be checking out your website for sure.

Cheers.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out and warm welcome to our new members. As Super mentioned, I'm on FSF everyday so I see new apps rather quickly. Rest assured that if for whatever reason you are still waiting approval, it usually only takes 24 hours, 48 at the most.

However, everyone should be approved up to this point.

We've also been running some FSX events as well. I know this is a DCS forum, but just wanted to throw that out there. Currently this is where most of my time is being spent as we're currently doing an around the world tour.

I'm also a big fan of the FC3 F-15, so I look forward to getting back into that soon as well.

So if I haven't met you yet, rest assured I'm around. ;) I do look forward to meeting you guys and will probably get to see you all at our next FSF Event.

So with that, welcome to the FSF community!

Cheers,

Hi there,

I wrote this thread with big interest. Looking for some folks to fly with/against and pick up my flying skills ( witch are not that great )

I'm a real aircraft-o-holic with some basic understanding of avionics, manouvres and flight systems. Played sims in the years of Jane's, EF2000 ( DiD ), TAW and so on.

But the complexity of this sim ( LockOn/DSC ) is way beyond my knowledge.

So im busy following all the training missions of the A-10C module.

I also bought FC3, but have to wait for my new copy of Lock On ( lost the old one )

Anyway.. enough said.

I'd like to app for the membership on FSF if thats ok, ans i'm qualified for it.

Next week i'm starting to train with a RL friend of mine, flying co-ops with A10C.

He'd probably also wants to join, but i'm not sure.

Hope to hear/read you soon.

Rainbow

Hey there,

sure you can register. If in doubt, read my first post in this thread (page one, post #5) :P

Luckily I've progressed in the time since, and I'll make sure you experience the same. There's much more fun and learning to have in flying with real people instead of singleplayer, and you can ask anything, anytime. That also saves your motivation in case you hit a wall yourself. Get some input, and you're rolling again.

Bring your friend too if he wants :)

Regards,

Just signed up as Patches. Consider myself to be a salty old pro in the Hog, still quite the rook in the KA-50. I've dabbled a little with the F-15C. Look forward to flying with you guys. The casual nature of your squad seems right up my alley. Hope to hear from you soon.
