spiral Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 hi, i seem to have this problem ever since a went to a 64 bits OS, i get ingame and every once in a while i get a big green screen... i have tried switching the CCC to default, same thing, reinstalled everything, even change my graphic card didn't change anything, i'm getting a little desperate. everything in my CCC is left by default, AMD overdrive is on though. settings ingame: Texture: high Scene: medium civ traffic: off water: high heat blur: on shadow: high MSAA: 2X HDR: Normal cockpit shadows are on. running on: AMD Phenom X4 955 HD 6870 Win 7 64 Bits all drivers up to date (AMD drivers just reinstalled yesterday)

metalnwood Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I have not turned on a10 for a while but I did the other day and had this. A couple things had changed in between. I upgraded to .9 from .8, I took out one 6970 leaving only one. I dont think this was the issue. I had my CCC preset to iracing which overrides various settings. When I changed to my a10 profile which does not override any settings it was good.
spiral Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) my old card was an HD 5870, apparently some other people had the same bug: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73953 (found a few older posts in the previous pages with people who encountered the same problem) when i installed my 6870 i reinstalled Win 7 just to have a clean setup, it still does it (that was 2 weeks ago or so). Direct X and Microsoft Visual C ++ are up to date. what is weird is that this is the only app that bugs on my comp. i'll try to turn off overdrive and see if it changes anything, right now i removed the CCC and use only ATI Tray Tools. the thing is, it's totally random (i just have to alt Tab to get a clear picture again, but in mid flight during an online game, it's quiet the mood kill) Edited October 5, 2011 by spiral

metalnwood Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Any driver upgrades or such, I am wondering if somehow when you play other games using different profiles that things are not going back as they should. Perhaps try making a specific profile for a10 that you know has everything as it should be.

Anyhow i tried different settings (including edgedetect) in the driver - none of the settiing worked for me . (*_*) i'll have to try how it works on a long mission to check the stability, i had never turned it on before, so we'll see. my setting is in narrow tent, if it bugs again, i'l try set it back to box as you suggest ;)

I beg u ... please stop telling me to try Driver setting in CCC ... its like explaining buddism to budda :megalol: btw ... normally i play witt AA Aplicationsetting though in Blackshark I get the best result with "driver AA" with Edgedetect ... really I play about a third of my simtime with Graphicsetting .. including CFGtweaking (and no , I didnt change anything in CFG lately) Im one of the guys who has decent frames since beta one ... KIllerrig - and everything over 35-40 Fps I invest in Graficquality. no really ... i tried everything and it is not that ! it works 3 days ago without changing anything on Graphicsetting or hardware . Any more suggestion before i reinstall ?
