miguelaco Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 It would be great to see these resolved: Comms issues with ATC: repeated messages Comms issues with tanker in MP: disconnect message for clients instead of refueling complete. Cannot top-off fuel tanks during refueling (tested only in MP) TGP North arrow indication bug (confirmed corrected for next patch) CDU OFFSET page WP creation bug GBU-31 LOD issue MK82AIR LDGP config not synchronized to clients in MP Multiple clients in same flight issue HOT default value show as 0 instead of WP elevation (cycle WP for a workaround) MWS not warning of friendly missiles (dunno if it's really a bug, but I recall seeing it confirmed somewhere in the forums)
Speed Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 My list: -MWS needs to warn of friendly missiles -RWR needs to display friendly ground radars (pretty sure this is a bug) -RWR needs to display aircraft for MP clients. -RWR aircraft indications need to be fixed (currently, shows a lot of "unknown" spikes) -RWR line of sight detection needs to be fixed -RWR needs to warn of incoming ARH (active radar homing) AAMs. -HOT in waypoint altitude mode needs to be fixed -TOT (Time on target) needs to NOT be based off of when the CDU is powered on, it needs to be based off of the TOT as calculated in the ME, at least when the TOT time is locked in ME (this is really a new feature rather than a bug) I could add more... miguelaco Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Doesn't it already? I know I've frequently been reacting to launch warnings that turned out to be a wingman and similar. (I've also seen explosions set it off.) I've seen that too in 1.1.0.8 when my buddies fired mavs, but not now in 1.1.0.9. Could it be an MP only issue?
miguelaco Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I'll add two more on refueling: Tanker is still a bit rough when entering a turn during refueling Improve logic so we don't have to call "abort refueling" in MP after every aircraft of the same flight is done with the tanker (i'm afraid we need first multiple clients in same flight issue resolved)
Migow Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 hi the ratio kill of sam tor etc is too low i have seen a f16 flying the tor shot 8 missile no one hit f16 (it has a 95 -90 ratio on plane) jamming against them should not denying range (tor ,tunguska ,buk ,s300)info -> frequency bumping ->and laser rangefinder please correct that another thing the SR radar should be on rarely the track radar should be on only when target is near the missile range it should track only by few time , and in continue in the end course missile the tor, s300 , should be able to intercept harm bomb almost everything member of 06 MHR / FENNEC Mi-24P
Grimes Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 speaking of refueling. AI flights that go to refuel have really "slow" behavior. The disconnect for AI seems to take a fair bit of time, and they tend to go fly off without waiting for their wingmen to hook up. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. PeterP Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) sorry to crush this "party" - opening a thread with a list of wishes inside the " DCS: Wish List" and discussing them is understandable from my point of view... but than adding more and more random "wishes" ...mixing FC with DCS...and many are posted before in a own thread inside the " DCS: Wish List" ... ...serious: who should be able to track this ?! Feel free to add the "Additions/features" to the wish list thread - might get more notice in there. Please try to keep this to bug fixes. Nate If you want to disiscuss this any further ... please go on... But If you really want to get heard : Do what Nate did tell you. -and please cross-check before posting your "wish" if this has been asked before... ...thanks for reading - I'm going now back into the kitchen...:) ...edit: and please choose a meaningful thread name when you do: "Please change this" will be not very helpful - instead choose "AAR with AI is too slow" -see.. much better! < this is just a given example of my previous poster. ...edit agin: we are a lucky croud that we have here something like a "whis list" where developers really look into... - on other gaming-forums this is only called "trash-bin"... so everyone should show a little more discipline and we make sure that this didn't become a "Trash-bin". .. back to the kitchen - pasta is al-dente now! Speed Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) Please do. Yea, I forgot a biggie: -FIX HUD MISALIGNMENT AFTER INS ALIGN OF < 4.0/0.8. From what I understand, all you need is 1.4, not 4.0; past 1.4 INS alignment, the only benefit you get for continuing the alignment process is a reduction in drift rate, and the GPS can be used to correct for this drift. But the bug is that while locations in space (such as waypoints or SPIs) are correctly displayed after a <4.0 INS alignment at long ranges, inside of something like 2-3 miles, HUD indications for points in space will suddenly jump off the HUD. The HUD will claim your SPI or waypoint is something like 90 degrees off the HUD when it is in fact right in front of you. I have a thread reporting this somewhere.... ah, it's here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=76831. Furthermore, even with a full INS alignment, I could swear that I've seen this bug crop up, but it's MUCH rarer, and MUCH harder to reproduce. With a 1.4 INS alignment, you get it like every time. On the subject of RWR: The last time I had a working RWR in air to air, it didn't indicate when a SARH was being guided on me by a fighter. I also think that it didn't give me a launch warning. I think that was version 1.1.0.7, so it's hardly applicable now. Part of determining what a bug is, is by knowing what the intended behavior is, and that's hard to know exactly. But I do believe that we should be getting RWR-based warnings of SARH AAMs. Correct me if I'm wrong. But anyway, being able to see aircraft on the RWR- clients and hosts alike- and getting launch warnings when the RWR detects a ARH missile inbound, or a SARH being guided by an enemy fighter (as opposed to the missile being detected by the EO sensors of the MWS) is high on my 1.1.0.10 wish list. Anyway, some other things I can think of: -the terrain following logic of many cruise missiles (such as the ALCM and TLAM, but NOT the SLAM) is broken, and has been for a very long time -Allow ships to fire at point again, like they used to be able to (in BS, at least). I don't think this is a bug though. But, being able to call for some TLAM strikes from ships with triggers and/or Lua would certainly be nice- especially if the TLAM terrain following logic was fixed. -Numbers still seem to be being inserted in waypoint names (or is this correct behavior?) -There's a few other things I can think of that I've made threads about, but they are mostly Lua related. From what I understand, ED is addressing them so I'm not going to worry about those right now. -Fix the multiplayer, airbase ownership bug -Oh and in one of my test missions for a mod I'm working on, I appeared to have stumbled onto the correct combination of factors and had a reproducible, 100% guarenteed CTD if you hit emergency stores jet. I could upload that test mission if necessary to fix that annoying little bug. I could still probably think of some more, but I got some things to do. GGTharos Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 or a SARH being guided by an enemy fighter There's no reason for it to detect that. It doesn't mean it can't give you a warning based on other parameters, but there's no reason to detect a SARH launch from a fighter - especially a modern fighter. SARH in modern fighter (datalink in the missile) in the last moment the aircraft use CW on the target RWR should detect it and alert pilot in this last moment member of 06 MHR / FENNEC Mi-24P
GGTharos Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 SARH in modern fighter (datalink in the missile) Who says you can pick up the dlink, or even tell that the dlink is directed at you? in the last moment the aircraft use CW on the target They use pulse-doppler. Only fairly old missiles require CW illumination. Most modern missiles have no such need. RWR should detect it and alert pilot in this last moment No, it shouldn't ... you might get definite missile guidance indication from old aircraft and missile systems, but there's no real reason for detecting a modern radar guiding a missile on you. For this reason, you treat any spike as a potential missile launch. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

miguelaco Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) And a few more: Jettison of external tanks is not synchronized between clients TGP head movement is not synchronized between clients (low priority, MP performance optimization?) Very low AIM-9 effectiveness against choppers (tested with AI controlled Ka-50s but may be the same against others) AI Ka-50 is too accurate using gun against aerial targets (your A-10). Probably the same with other gun-equipped choppers. Edited October 13, 2011 by miguelaco
