JS Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I just noticed that when flying a training mission, the space bar doesn't work any more, when it needs to be pressed to proceed. Does this have something to do with the patch, or is it a control that has been lost in the settings that I need to fix? I've never had any problems with this before installing the new version.
JS Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I have only tried the first two, the engine startup and the take off. The first mission just stops after the first texts, when you are supposed to press space. On the other mission, space does not work either, but if I take off anyway, the mission continues on after a while, and the trainer starts giving instructions again.
wess24m Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 so after this patch the game is pretty much unplayible, MP crashes after acouple mins and i can't drop cbu's in SP now either. pretty animation for a bomb that crashes CTD isn't a improvement, not sure how this patch even made it through the testers.

Fleshpiston Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011  ^^ Right I had my first CTD last night after dropping one of those lovely CBU's. It fell all the way down popped and just as the skeet's went to pop it booted my arse out. I would guess by now this is a know problem ;) Notice how I said it was my first CTD.... I have done 1.1.0.7 - 1.1.0.9 with no problems so one minor issue ain't bad in my books. I have never dropped a CBU before as I like the GBU's but after all this hype over how superduper they are I thought I would give it a go.. Heyho ED I know you lot can fix it. 711Hancer Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I had a bug when JTAC confirms your readbacks instead of a voice+text the screen displays some codes i.e. string value etc.

JS Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I have now also tried the second Familiarization mission (Hotas functions), and pressing the space button worked perfectly there. But the Start-up mission still doesn't proceed when I press space. What is going on? Why is it that just some missions have this problem? Is the startup training mission working for everyone else, or did the patch break it? bluepilot76 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I also had the problem with the JTAC voice, three times now, twice on "In the weeds", once on Kashmuri gap or whatever its called.. I think it is after 9 line readback, the further instructions bit. There is no sound, a long line of gobbldygook text. I ignored it and carried on with the script and then it reverted to normal. I will save a track if I see it again. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... TIR5 ... Thrustmaster T16000m
GGM Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I'd very much like to know how I could reproduce that, you didn't happen to save the track did you? Nate It happened to me too on DRAGONS's mission pack Gudauta Rush. lua script codes are shown after each request of ready for 9 line, but I guess it's mission bug not game (I hope) :) [sigpic][/sigpic]

Sn8ke Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Just curious if the ED team will be putting out a hot fix for the misc issues such as missing canopy reflection textures, etc., or will this be part of a later, more extensive patch? I would very much like to know this also. Primarily bugged by the engines shutting down at random on the tarmac but also the canopy reflections etc.

It doesn't seem to be a very common problem, but at least one more person has reported the same thing in another thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1331270&postcount=2056
