Sn8ke Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 There seems to be quite of a bit of improvements in some areas, and major steps backwards in others. Overall today, I been noticing quite "buggy" performance in this patch. I am considering reverting to 1.0.9 until a hot-fix or subsequent patch is released fixing issues. Primary bugs: FPS hits and no canopy glare. I had a crash dropping CBU-97's. I am just being brutally honest of my reasonable observations. Aries Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) Repair time notice is nice... TAD map before alignment is nice... CBU is nice... Countermeasures sound gone sucks cause don't know if dropping em anymore?!?!?? We played FOB Vetka tonight and my wingman crashed to desktop, mine just nagged about low resources or something and offered me to close DCS.exe which i simply cancelled and landed afterwards, friend has 4GB ram i have 8GB so it must be a memory leak of some sort... A2A tone is somehow sucky faint... Server browser is slow now... Khm... Tacview recording broken... OMFG?!??!?! We'll se tomorrow if the Phoenix Fly-In goes smooth... EDIT: Phoenix Fly-in went smooth... till we reached the runway... :music_whistling: Edited November 13, 2011 by Aries [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Fish Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) I used my controller settings from patch .09, has anyone else noticed more sensitivity with the new patch? I have TW Warthog, with 3 deadzone, and 15 curvature. Love the new patch though, clouds look great, great FPS so far. Not sure what you mean by more sensitive? I have had to adjust roll and yaw inputs to get same feel. (reduced / removed the curve in DCS axix profile). So for me it appeared to be 'less sensitive' to my inputs (i.e.) response was less for same inputs. BTW, it was a vanilla install of 1.1.1.0, and i copied over all my input files from 1.0.9 Edited November 12, 2011 by Fish Fish's Flight Sim Videos [sIGPIC]I13700k, RTX4090, 64gb ram @ 3600, superUltraWide 5120x1440, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, Warthog, Tusba TQS, Reverb VR1000, Pico 4, Wifi6 router, 360/36 internet[/sIGPIC]
Warthogger Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) I don't think he actually meant it, he was simply throwing some sarcasm into the air due to paul's dismissal of reflections, indeed which paul then later clarified. Warthogger probarbly likes aar as well;) Haha, yep. :smilewink: Yanking Paul's chain there a little. I'd better watch out though because he's active duty AF stationed out there in between the Crackers and the Gators (not sure which of the two is worse). Makes a man mean living under those kind of conditions. How did that old Charley Pride song go about "the meanest man in Waycross, Georgia...." They'll find me with the bats and the bears in Miller's Cave! :( But yah, if DCS were to hotfix the canopy reflection mess that would be uber-cool considering all of the new stuff in 1.1.1.0. I guess I'm just too addicted to the immersion factor with the feeling of having the glass around me and stuff, but to each his own. 1.09 still has it, so I can hang with it. :pilotfly: Edited November 12, 2011 by Warthogger

Sn8ke Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 The canopy reflection immersion factor was HUGE for me...It seams it may be simple coding issue that needs to be fixed. Ramstein Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 my frame rate is really bad when there is action with fground untis and they joystick inputs seem to be having problems and my trim goes crazy... and there is all kinds of problerms going on.. I just have not figured out why I am only having problems in A1-C. Im Black Sahrk, Lock FC2.9, IL-2, and other sims I play have no problems, but in A-10C is is almost unplayble. I am going through several profile for my joystick (Saitek X52 Pro) I have been programming Saitek sticks for 10 years. I have been downloading and trying other people's profiles. I still have not tried everything, but this has been 4 days of nothing but problems. I am going to try not using a Saitek pofile an djust use in game controller commands,..the Jackbaur profile comes to mind... see if that type of setup works. But the lousy framerate still is not accounted for. In single playing with little to no action, just flying over barren land I get a decent framerate.. up to 50 fps,, but when I have more aircraft and ground untits, it comes to a crawl, jumpy, like comeone is plying with the keyboard entering bogus commands.. and when I try to exit the game, a lot of the time I have to alt-tab out and even that can take 5 minutes of trying to kil programs to get back to desktop. I have a dectn computer , but nothign grewat, which runs al other game sin multiplayer mostly on high settings for everythign else I play. Not sure what is wrong, but big, big problems, and I am very, very tired from struggling with al this for several days... just sayin' as soon as I figure out what is wrong I wil post back.. thanx to everyone for al the help here and al the hard work from the developers, help from all the pilots,, etc.. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

firewings Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 hi ; since patch 1.1.1.0 i have more bugs on FPS , more lags and huge downloading time ( i made a full new install ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

andysim Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Aircraft are getting stuck on the Carrier now =( anyone have this? they land ok and then sit on the deck for 2 mins and then taxi 10 yards and shutdown in the middle of the runway. The hawkeye especialy seems to do this. On a track I saved this happens and then a FA-18 comes and lands and smacks into the Hawkeye and then falls off the deck.
Wichid Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Has there been any stated intention on fixing the cockpit reflections in a hotfix? I'm not sure what it is exactly but the immersion factor has increased dramatically in the latest patch. the reflections is the last piece of the puzzle.
