007 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) HM gov - 6 report Fr/007 To/M Class/secret D/201111 trn:21204012Z rcd:21204127Z Auth/pKQfijqsKAa5bE2tpnPLsdq7Dc46xwJsq9evBSMmt8xqEnK7qsRSwMc Txt/ M, One of my informants reported some strange movements on an airbase lost in the east of the Westerly region of the Southly Septentrionic Independent Barbarian Republic. He claims not to know the name of the airbase, and says it has never been mapped. I doubt it, especially in this era of satellites and electronic intelligence, but he is my only source for now, I can’t push him too hard. A few years ago, this base was home of some Su-25, after having been the refuge of MiG-25 (or MiG-31?) interceptors, right before they were scrapped in the last throes of the Soviet ogre. In the recent months, the nightlife has intensified in this remote place. Various aircraft seemed to be flying from there. As Security has not lost one ounce of the ferocity instilled by the "green shoulder boards" of the KGB, my informant has only sent me a few inconclusive snapshots, but interesting enough to get my attention: The photos showed aircraft equipped with afterburners, and what appears to be a four-engine AWACS radar aircraft. Other four-engined aircraft without dorsal antenna were also noticed. All this does not make sense with the activity that honest people are entitled to expect from a third rate airbase populated with rotting Frogfoots, don’t you agree? I ventured to recommend that Q, on your behalf, divert one of our American cousins’ reconnaissance satellites to learn a little more. I hope you will pardon me this liberty, and that the NRO will not notice the small changes in their programs too quickly... You will find enclosed the photographs provided by my agent, as well as Q’s satellite images. Would you mind put some of your brilliant analysts in London on the job? I would have asked them myself for this favour, but I felt it more useful to take the opportunity to go on site personally, in order to discover a little more by myself. To be in good standing with respect to our organization, I have filled out mission orders. You will also find them in this package and only need to grace them with your signature, backdated, it goes without saying. Yours sincerely, 007 Edited November 21, 2011 by 007 2

Since then, I can no longer reach him ... I'm leaving immediately bound to the Southly Septentrionic Independent Barbarian Republic in an attempt to get him out of this mess. Him, and especially the intelligence he may have acquired ... Yours sincerely, 007
topol-m Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Original, but which one is the "Barbarian" republic? :D And the aircraft? Mirage and Rafale? The tail on the fifth screen looks like it belongs to the Rafale while the aircraft on the 9th screenshot looks like Mirage. Edited November 21, 2011 by topol-m [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

007 Posted November 26, 2011 Author Posted November 26, 2011 HM gov - 6 report Fr/007 To/M Class/secret D/201111 trn:26223543Z rcd:26223549Z Auth/6f122df5e2b86bc0bc8885cafe4b9eab Txt/ M, Shortly arrived in the Southly Septentrionic Independent Barbarian Republic, I succeeded in accessing -not without difficulty- to our communication network. I haven't heard anything from my informant and nobody in his entourage knows his current whereabout. I suppose he has been either killed or captured and is secretely detained on the airbase. Faithful to my duty, I ensured his fiancée, on behalf of Her Majesty, of our full support in this situation: it seems that she genuinely appreciated that. With the help of a case (filled with banknotes), an uniform of a KGB colonel and my best Russian (Saint Petersbourg accent!), I pretended being on an "inspection mission" to the airbase, at a day following a not so occasional drink excess. Suffering a serious headache, the Airbase Commander wasn't in a mood to ask questions and simply delegated a young female lieutenant to act as a guide to me. Well, there is not only Russian speakers on this Airbase! Even my guide, in fact, would not have looked out of her place in a Parisian department store (except for her uniform, of course, but you know how such details are quickly ridden of when needed). I took some pictures from a short distance... I'm talking of the mysterious aircrafts, here! Having been photographed by a Minox, the result wounds my artistic feelings but you have to make the best of things... To make a long story short, this airbase is obviously the host of a massive french military deployment, with various types of aircrafts, some heavily armed, and an important support. The "what" being established, I continue my investigation to include/understand the "why". Yours sincerely, 007 PS: some of the attached pictures show how much coherent and integrated the deployed force is: Those are screenshots of an integrated mission planification software, deployed on dedicated workstations in a shelter. Thus, please let this known around: We would not want to let our estimated colleagues of the Foreign Office being fooled by their froggs counterparts pretending this is no more than a "courtesy" deployment if ever this excuse were to be retained in answer to the awkward questions I'm sure we'll soon ask...
Muse Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 What a lucky 007 this. Between the guide, which is apparently highly sympathetic, and the blow torch on this taxy way, he does not know where to turn! Will there be the time to take a snapshot of the cockpit? ^ ^ courage and dedication [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.checksix-fr.com/ [FC2] packs de Francisation

Azrayen Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Viper : Thanks :) One has to be a fan (or a citizen of Her Majesty) to catch it, it seems. Well, 007 is (a citizen, at last). :smartass: I see theres anew army special floating forces? I don't think so: Look at the shadows... The pic is bad, but no floating soldiers, except at first glance ;) Edited November 28, 2011 by Azrayen

007 Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 HM gov - 6 report Fr/007 To/M Class/secret D/201111 trn:29222914Z rcd:29222938Z Auth/pKQfijqsKAa5bE2tpnPLsdq7Dc46xwJsq9evBSMmt8xqEnK7qsRSwMc Txt/ M, I finally met the (no more drunk) base commander. He admitted that maintaining the secret is no more possible. Rather than tell me all exclusively, he decided to hold a public press conference. This press conference report can be read here. I've no more duty here, and I will return to London as soon as possible. Sincerely yours, 007.
