diveplane Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 frame rates look porked in those clips, got to admit fsx runs like a dog, i gave up on it ages ago. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
MTFDarkEagle Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 frame rates look porked in those clips, got to admit fsx runs like a dog, i gave up on it ages ago. You sound like Mower.. Frame rates are good as long as you know what you're doing. Those framerates are definitely not what I'm getting. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
SUBS17 Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 Frame rates are low because I had the graphics turnned upto Max setting. I might redo the flight in lower terrain res. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Phantom88 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Are you running FRAPS Also SUBS?That's been known to Squash FPS aswell. Great videos! Patrick
SUBS17 Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Yeah FRAPs is what I used to record it heres a video featuring Hostility zones with SAMs shooting at me. Its not Tacpac just VRS Superhornet in FSX. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
MTFDarkEagle Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 FYI: Tacpac is now in closed beta. See the announcement in the tacpac forum on the vrs forum. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
andysim Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 FSX frame rates are awsome for me. Any mid range PC should run FSX easy even with addons. No idea what you are doing wrong lol. :megalol:
cichlidfan Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 FYI: Tacpac is now in closed beta. See the announcement in the tacpac forum on the vrs forum. ZQuickSilverZ Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Hi SUBS17. I thought Seawolves covered air and sea. I thought you guys did Silent Hunter as well. Am I incorrect? I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. "Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons. "I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown. These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SUBS17 Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 Seawolves Virtual Navy has divisions for each one, Airwolves is just the Flight sim aspect of it. Silent hunter is probably used by the fleet I'll ask next time I'm on Team speak. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Impact Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) FSX frame rates are awsome for me. Any mid range PC should run FSX easy even with addons. No idea what you are doing wrong lol. :megalol: But you are not recording with FRAPS while running FSX. To get better framerates, you can disable sound recording. Is it like a track file? Can you record it twice? If yes, then I would suggest recording without sound to get a smooth video, and a second time just for the sound. In the end splice it together and it is done. SUBS17 Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 FS recorder does not record carriers moving which is the biggest problem with it. There is no decent track recording for FSX so carrierops is recorded live with FRAPS. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
CDR Spectre Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Seawolves Virtual Navy has divisions for each one, Airwolves is just the Flight sim aspect of it. Silent hunter is probably used by the fleet I'll ask next time I'm on Team speak. The only games that are reportable in SVN at the moment are Dangerous Waters, 688i, Sub Command, and Fleet Command. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] It's not the fall that gets you. It's the Godawful sudden stop at the end.
bluepilot76 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Is it not illegal to make a video like that and not show any approach and landing shots? It will be one day! Looks like a lot of fun! SUBS17 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 CASE III on vLSO is quite good, very different to a CASE I approach to the carrier: [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
rattler Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I'll second that. I have no issues with FPS in FSX. I to would have what you call a mid range pc. Works just as well as any ED Series and I had no problems with them either. We learned on Flanker how to tweak and that ran all the way up to the current DCS. FSX is no different if you put some time into some tweaks, less than Lockon series. It just looks a little strange at first till you learn the files an paths and amounts to change. Just like Lockon. It is just a different sim. with a different way of doing things. Cheers. Rattler

SUBS17 Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Heres some pics of Tacpac in action this mission here was vs a SAM site. The Superhornet now has alot more detail and the A/G radar works really well, still trying to get the FLIR to work though might have to read more of the manual. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
