Black Shark 2 mini movie

Hey guys. As i'm lazy right now, im just gonna copy/paste what i wrote on youtube:

 

Eagle Dynamics asked me if I could do a small movie, with a demonstration of landing on ships in rough seas. I thought to myself "oh ok, how can I make that look interesting?". Well after some hours of work, it came down to this. It's nothing fancy or "over the top" as I'm used to, but it gets the point across (though yeah, you never actually see me *landing* :P).

And obviously, this movie won't make any sense unless you have read this text.

 

And the music is called "Enigmatic Soul (No Vocals)" by Two Steps From Hell.

Oh and the intro is actually a hint at the real movie i'm working on... :)

- This movie sorta came in-between my plans with the promo im planning for FC 3 - Superior Fighters 2. But it was fun trying to land in such bad weather though! Wind was something over 10m/second as well. :)

The music is very glorious, especially when you touch the flight deck.

I think to land on a moving train was harder to you :megalol:

The only "effect shot" i think is good is the 2 clips at the intro.

The rest is a mash-up of color adjustments :huh: :P

I mean: built in effects :megalol: shaders, "special cam moves", lightnings, rain drops in sea (probably your fav. - mine too :D) overcast weather, taggering ship effect, water reflection ...

I only missing the spot & strobelight and the heat blur effects. :smartass:

 

and to E.D. : We are missing correct wide long always visible ripple/wake/shiptrail on sea surface (present is joined to body of the ship and taggering under water surface )

Yes, maybe, although i watched in 720p. :suspect:

Or just your chopper was too fast and the effect was not enough powerful/spectacular :pilotfly:

( only drawback now is that i will cancel it from my list: ''epic songs suitable for movies'', since I do not like music copying. Well at least TSFH has plenty more :D )

Hehe indeed, TSFH has got some amazing tracks! I try to avoid the old "copy epic music from other movies" as well. But if I find a movie with an amazing track, and the movie is garbage (in my view :P) then I will do my own version to simply justify the music :D

Here it is what it is like landing in extreme conditions. You can duplicate this in DCS:Black Shark 2 by setting meto wind to 15 m/s

 

 

I guess only Fraser could land Black Shark in these conditions!

Sadly the 3D model and the textures of the ship are very "1997" and this ruines the whole move.
