Hi all

I just love this game but I would really like to get my hands on a Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System but I on a really tight budget. Any heads up where I could get a cheap second hand one? I tried on eBay but I'm bidding against the rest of Great Britain:doh:!

:helpsmilie:, I really want a kick ass joystick!:joystick:

Thanks

How cheap? Are you being unrealistic?

Unless they actually used better compontents in the Pro version, which I doubt, I would be looking for a good buy on the standard version. The MFD functions of the Pro are not of any significant value. Granted the Pro is not as ugly as the standard model but the cost difference is significant.

I have an X-52 Pro and don't see the added value. My two cents.;)

Thanks cichlidfan

Your two cents much appreciated! I know I can get a new one around about £87 pounds but I was wanting to spend about £50. It's the hotas function in a joystick I'm looking for

I too am considering X-52 Pro, best price for a new one I've seen is here.

Can anyone comment on if there is a notable difference in feel and precision between the pro and standard versions?

The pro has less wiggle around the centre. I found it better for formation flying but wouldn't notice any difference in combat stuff.

The pro does feel better IMO.

I have a standard and pro sitting in a box doing nothing gathering dust since I'm using the Warthog now.

Am willing to part with them if you're interested.

I think I'll go for the Saitek X52 Flight Control System as I can't see any real advantage going for the pro. Here is what I have found so far.

£76.90 including VAT

£83.98 free postage

But here is something strange, Scan computers have a (V2). Does anybody know what if a new version was released? see details below

£85.82 Inc VAT

Does the non-pro have the hall sensors instead of pots in the stick?

Yes, both X-52 "vanila" and PRO come with HALL Sensors in X and Y axis -all other axis (rudder, throttle, rotaries, slider...) use conventional potentiometers.

The only difference in this matter is that PRO use two HALL sensor per (x, y) axis and "vanila" use one per axis in atemp to improve precision.
