How to stop this CHEAT - HACKED DEDI SERVER

then how do you suggest it might be done? Are there functions out there in C, C++, or any other programming language that you know of (*cough* Java smile.gif) that are capable of removing comments and space normalizing, or would you write the function yourself? It sounds like this is an operation you've seen done before perhaps outside of a compiler or even had to do yourself.

It should be trivial to grep out whitespace, comments, and anything that the interpreter would ignore if that's what you're suggesting. A compiler does that anyway, during the preprocessing phase.

Is the hacker still around? I haven't played FC2 in about 2 months and is multiplayer still dead?

No, last time I looked was about a month ago. But mp has/was steadily falling away for months before I stopped flying FC2. There were times were I knew people would start to join and all of a sudden no one was there. I'm talking about 10+ people, then after it was like 2 maybe 3 people flying.

Age and maturity are different things Tyger.

Sure, but is a fair assessment that with age brings great wisdom and maturity.

A complete contradiction when i consider a recent incident involving a 48 yr old child.

No....

Numbers create numbers. Hop on, make the effort and others will follow. Sure beats sitting around quoting numbers :)

If you build it , they will come :)

19 pre-built at the time of this post.

11 Private

8 Public

You can only join 1 at a time so you have 18 spare. As I said, numbers create numbers. Hop on, make the effort and others will follow. Sure beats sitting around, assuming of course it's a FC2 MP flight experience you're after.....it's there to be had.

Some determined guy took time to analyze network protocol.
He should have spent that time improving his flying skills instead :D

So, are the problems are completely fixed now with the security hotfix? Just curious.

I flew yesterday for about 40 minutes and didn't see any problems, but I'll need to fly a lot more to see if it's fixed.

Servers that have been running now for 3 weeks with the hotfix installed and no problems so yes I would say it is completely fixed.
