New TrackIR5 + Proclip

My TrackIR 5 + Pro Clip will be showing up tomorrow! :thumbup: Anything I need to know before installing this to work with A-10? I am currently running a Steam install of A-10.

Use Wags DCS profile, I found it worked far better than others pour moi.

nothing you need to know really, but have a play with the TIR software so that you understand what does what and the whys and wherefors of it. it will make tweaking it to your taste a lot easier.

When you have a profile you like make a back up of the file and store it as they can take a while to create.

 

You'll enjoy it.

Make sure once you get the software installed you run it as administrator then also make sure you start the trackir before the sim. Also as above get wags profile it's the best one i have used as well.

Just downloaded Wags profile. Ready to go for tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder Atomic to run it in Admin mode. Also anything special about the software install? ie. run as admin/install software first before connecting clip and trackir device/default or special install location...

Make sure you balance your head set with weigths if you fly a lot. I got a stiff neck after just a couple of weeks constant play :P Solved it all by balansing my headset with weights from my lazer mouse that comes with aditional wights.

I've got the Tritton AX Pros and in order for the clip to fit on my headset I'm going to adjust the top part to the right. Hopefully this shift will help balance it out once the clip is attached. Thank you for the heads-up!

If you mount the clip to any halfway serious set of headphones, you won't know it is there.

YESSSS!!!!! TRACKIR 5 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! What a great investment. What a difference in flying and target acquisition! I've just run through one of the training missions and all I can say is WOW! Even after the training I decided to do some canyon runs and WOW, my flying just improved 10 fold. I agree that the clip is a little flimsy but it's meant to be light-weight(just be careful with your sh!t). All-in-all what a great investment. I know I already said that but really. If you don't have it, get it! Now how to get it to work in mouse mode for other games?

You can launch mouse mode from the installation folder. Never really used it but that is where the exe is for it.
