ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) I would like to find some like minded people to play this say once a week or so. This is a very interesting tank sim. I would say if Steel Beast PE is the tank equivalent of DCS then WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger is the Lock On. If you get this you may need to download some DLL's as well as the manual. Here is the link. http://www.tanksimzw.com/dl.htm Here are some screen shots. Edited May 7, 2012 by ZQuickSilverZ I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. "Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons. "I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown. These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) One more screen shot for good measure just to show the 3D interior. Yes, those gauges work. ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) Seriously? No interest? It supports TrackIR. There's Pizza (People who watch South Park get this reference.... or at least they should). Check out those screen shots. Check it out on YouTube. I would love to see some comments. Are there no people interested in tank warfare here? Did I mention it is online muliplayer? Edited May 7, 2012 by ZQuickSilverZ I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. EagleEye Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Hmm, don`t knew that some people still play that sim. I`ve lost my interest after Lighthouse closed it`s door`s and it was sure that we would`t get updates anymore. So you say that MP is enjoyable and not full of bugs? ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 I have not played multiplayer. Single player seems to work fine after downloading the DLL files. I would like to play it and see how it is. This game is much like a WW2 tank version of Lock On I think. I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. "Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons. PoleCat Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I have played this and it is indeed pretty cool. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/

ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) Bought it tried it, 20 years ago was it? :) Shelved it. 20 years? It came out Oct 17, 2008. So less than 4 years ago. DCS Black Shark came out April 13, 2009. T-34 vs Tiger is only 6 months older than DCS: Black Shark. Polecat seemed to like it. Polecat did you play this online by any chance? theOden Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Holy Moses, dates? I really need to check that it's not an american recipient before using irony next time. Maybe I should restrict myself to only talk to aussies, mm yes that will be the best. Sorry! I'm out of here. *slaps myself* [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
LcSummers Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Hi there, first i have to say there is someone who makes new missions, tanks etc. Look here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=203 Sure you have to pay for it but ZW makes a great job. He is alone. He implemented new russian tanks, like the KV 85 not playabel, SU 122/152.etc. With the next patch he will give us the Panther D, later A and G version, the Kingtiger and so on. Since he anounced his project i am a member and tester. If you are intersted, please contact him on that forum, and please dont forget mentioning me LC
ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 I will contact him. I will mention you. When you say he will give us Panther D, A, and G as well as the Kingtiger are those playable or A.I. tanks? If they are playable will they have 3D interiors? Does ZW play this online? Can he connect interested parties to tank platoons? Can you give us an estimated time until the project release? Does ZW maintain a TeamSpeak server or if not does he perhaps frequent one? I would love ZW to join the ED Forums and come and talk with us. That would be great. He may be the catalyst we need to get the ball rolling on a few tank platoons. How did you hear about this post? Did you just happen to notice it scanning the forums? I see its your 1 year ED Forum anniversary. Congratulations. Sorry for blitzing you with so many questions. theOden don't leave on my account. I only wanted to present T34 vs Tiger in the best light possible to generate interest. I did not want people to think it was really old. I knew you were just joking around. I need, I need, I need... LcSummers Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) Hi, no problems for so much questions, please feel free to ask. At the moment there is only the Tiger I Mid production playable. I think ZW (he lives in the US) wrote the next patch will contain the Panther D wich will be playable, the rest at the moment is AI. Later tanks will follow and will be playable. Concentration is on single player, no MP. Too much work. He is a ONE MAN COMPANY. 3D interior yes but he will later add some crews but i must wait for the Panther D. Please ask him. See here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=158301&page=172 This project was launched i think two years ago but you have to pay a membership fee if you want all his missions and updates. My suggestion. Contact ZW, ask for some free missions and then decide if you like/want it. Its possible you dont like it or expected more. The original game was ..... Had too much bugs and the T-34 was superior in any terms. This is my opinion, ZW pimped it up. I dont want to influence anybody, please try it yourself and then make a decision. About this post. Its funny it was accidentaly. I have DCS A-10C, then bought P-51D Mustang and saw your topic. Thought to write some words. Hopefully i didnt miss something S! LC Edited May 9, 2012 by LcSummers

It is a pretty good WWII tank sim really. there are also some pretty good mods for it. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
tintifaxl Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I'll have a look at Iron Front instead. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
ZQuickSilverZ Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 I have never seen anything in ARMA to make me think that it is capable of a sim experience on ANY level. When I want to play an armor game I want to play an armor game not wait around for a tank to spawn. Why would they bother making a tank sim and then put arcade aircraft in the game? I am sure Iron Front will be a great game but I don't understand where you think the comparison is. I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original. SackDestroyer Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Looks like a cool game, but I guess the developer has gone under? It's not available on Amazon and I can't find it for sale online anywhere.
