I am unable to contact Tower or tankers right now in the DCS World using the A-10. I even did a test but starting on runway ready to go and i was not able to talk to tower or the tanker.

Has this just simply not been implimented yet?

This might be a silly question but..

Are you useing the right radio and on the right Freq...?

And are they on??

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Everything works fine for me in DCS World 1.1.2.1

Maybe you were used to easy comms but then you accidentally switched to realistic comms? See above comment. use correct mic switches (not '\').

I've had some issues with contacting the towers myself. I figured the problem was on my end when ATC was silent for a while, however just moments after I finally started both engines, ATC came on out of nowhere and gave me permission to start them.

As many say though, it's still in beta, so I don't worry too much about things like this right now anyway. I don't always know enough to recognize if the fault is mine or the software's.

Sounds like you were on the right frequency but you did not use the right mic switch. (VHF AM LAlt + numpad +)

ATC starts talking to you when you start engines, start taxi or enter the runway without you talking back.

It seems like it is not just a matter of easy comms any more. You really have to use the right frequency. Odd thing is you can still use \ and make the call on the default with no response. Alt. + num + or - brings up the choice and then you use it. So, why even have easy comms?

I have that since a10 beta and still in DCS world.

I never get permission/answer until I actually do what I asked for.

Have to roll 2 inches to get the answer to my taxi request etc. :)

I've found a host of comms problems flying the A-10 in World too. Had one instance where the JTAC didnt give me an attack heading so when I read back the 9-line only two pieces of info were only read and I never recieved anything after that...

Just yesterday I tried in a different location and the JTAC gave me an attack direction and when I read the 9-line I was happy to have the voice read back all three pieces, however JTAC still didnt respond.

Getting the JTAC to mark targets is still a hassle in womans pants. Seriously you could have a unit on the side of the tallest mountain in the dcs world and he'll be unable to mark targets at the bottom of the mountain right below him.

By the time you finally find the position where marking works you'll have moved the JTAC and enemies so many times you'll have the layout memorized and you'll never want to fly it.
