Silicone grease. Have some for my airsofts that I also use on my r.c. shogun so I use that.

Don't use silicone spray lube. Its too thin.

BGP also suggested pencil graphite a while back as well.

I've heard myself being quoted for that a couple of times, but have zero memory of actually saying it :p

It's a neat idea . . . . . but for plastic sticks, I think silicone is a more convenient answer.

Haven't tried the spray stuff (that I also have for airsoft, oh the coincidences), but am using zip-ties and silicone grease on my X45 and it's working nicely.

And having checked the links and testing extensively, I can report that yes, indeed it has done wonders for my FPS . . . . . . :p

On an unrelated note, I'd be interested to know (in as detail-free a way as possible) if anyone has tried KY Jelly or similar to try lubing their *flight sim* joystick, and what the results were?

I always use Turtle Wax myself.

I tried a different FPS mod and got even better results.

Here's my pre-mod screen shot.

This is the mod I tried.

These are my post-mod results. I couldn't be happier. :D

Anyway, each time I listen to my wingman saying “two rolling” I imagine for some reason Paris Hilton all over the place:icon_mrgr .

It even gets funnier when you get serious replies on "stick waxing" matters :p

This was not only the result of an innocent memory leak:rolleyes:

@ TucksonSonny...

If you want to keep that FPS up, stay away from the One Night In Paris... movie. It's plain boring!

Well obviously you either haven't seen the movie or it was your first and only porn movie to date.

Now I am even more curious. I think that I am going to rent it this weekend.
