Create a new mission, place two MiG-25's (or something); one flying at 500 km/h, one flying at 2000 km/h. Orbit-view around the slower one first and listen, then switch to the other one and listen. Especially pick a point around 135 degrees from the nose of the faster one and wait til he slows down...

It seems I never stop finding little details in these sims. Good work!

There was a sound test mission a while back where you sat on the ramp an just listened to the activity around you with jets starting up, taxing off and landing as well as choppers, ground vehicles etc. it was amazing to listen to.

We have a custom that demonstrates this

Our squad mission builder has done just that with a mission incorporating many aircraft.

When we fly it...we sit on the tarmack, canopy or door open during startup and listen to them as they Taxi by and TO.

The F16s, F18s, F14s are awesome..especially on TO when AB kicks in.

Yes the attention to detail in DCS is very nice:)

Sorry off topic but when in the A-10C, keep in cockpit view and open the refuel door. Lean forward and you can see it moving from in the cockpit!

Also, when you run out of ammo and fire the gun, the barrels still spin:)

Nah, I could just tell you what happens: Since the airplane is travelling supersonic, there is no engine-sound/wind-sound in front of the airplane. When you spin around it you can only hear it from behind the aircraft. The faster the airplane is travelling, the longer behind it the sound is. There doesnt seem to be a sonic boom though, nor is there any visible shockwave. Maybe we can get that around the time when the mach 2 capable MiG-21 is released? :greedy:

That always really confused me in LOMAC and I thought my headphones were broken.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
