Guys,

Anyone getting lower FPS using DCS World A-10 vs the standalone 1.1.1.1 version? I am getting 85 FPS using standalone and around 40 FPS on the same instant action mission imn DCS World?

Very strange, did not know if anyone else was experiencing anything similar? Does DCS World use the same .exe for DCS A10 as the standalone?

No. DCS World uses DCS World with modular system for the specific titles.

Performance results for users does seem to be varied, with some gaining higher performance in world. What are the exact configuration in World and 1.1.1.1 that you are using?

I tried to mirror both config and view settings.

Two monitors using 3840x1080 resolution (dual screen one for A/C one for MFCD's/HELIOS).

4x AA

TSAA on

Everything else high

Make sure DCS World isn't disabling aero's...helios does not like aero's being disabled if I remember correctly...

Roger that, I do not have it disabled. Its just weird, maybe because I am using a GTX 690 in Multi-gpu mode is the reason for the different FPS on different versions?

Please try this:

Select "High" on both installs, then do manual configuration to your preference. This is because there are some parameters "under the hood" that change depending on which preset was selected.

Aye, I agree, it's strange.

Could you upload to the forum your graphics.cfg, high.lua, and options.lua?

I could try to look and see if there's something anomalous going on as far as configuration goes.

A variation of this fixed a terrible jittering problem with my mirrors in the 1.2.0 A-10C. I selected "medium" to start with, then manually configured individual settings back up to where they were in 1.1.1.1. Mirror problem solved, and FPS is still acceptable! Thanks!

TSSAA and AAA in the graphics control panel is not a good idea to have on with the new grass.

I'm also getting a lower framerate since I switched over to DCS World 1.2. But the biggest problem are a lot of micro studders close to the ground and on takeoff, where it used to be smooth as butter. I am sure in time ED hopefully will work it out. There really isn't much faster hardware I can upgrade, so I'm going to have to put the whole DCS sim on hold for while. Is it possible that DCS and SLI don't play well and maybe it's time to get rid of my two GTX 590s?

Ranger79 - I saw similar when I went across to 1.2 (there's a thread under a10 bugs / game performance). Since then I've reinstalled windows 7 and things have returned to *nearly* where they were, so if you've the patience for a clear out and reinstall I'd recommend it.

DCS A-10C 1.1..1.1.1.1. how low FrPS in the Pit and certain scenerios, while DCSW is butter smooth.
