Hey gang,

I am all set up to really get started with this sim, having DCS World now with both the A-10C and Black Shark 2 Modules installed into it.

I also have a relatively new TM Warthog, along with Saitek Combat Pedals. I am very pleased so far with my setup.

So anyway, I was noticing that the Target software also supports the Cougar MFD's. I also downloaded a profile for Black Shark, and noticed it too was written to use these MFD's as well.

So now, I am tempted yet again for some new hardware. Anyone here using them with DCS-A10C? Or even BS2 for that matter? I would be curious on how you like using them, so I know whether to talk myself into it or not :)

Thanks for any feedback,

Don B

Wow, thanks for the great feedback gang!

Well with your help, I am pretty sure I have talked myself into it now. Especially knowing that they too are plug and play with the sim as the Warthog is.

I just have to now figure out how I will place them on my desk.

Thanks again,

Don B

I use them for A-10C. How for the Ka-50 though, don't need it for that plane.

You can still map controls to the MFD buttons and slip a labeled insert in since there is no display. Twenty plus buttons, per MFD, that can be configured in Target; that is always useful (except maybe for the P-51;)).

Oh yes, absolutely! For my setup I've got my whole second screen covered with Abris and Shkval, so that mounting solution doesn't work anyway, but I don't use the MFD's in any other A/C except the Warthog, so that's not an issue. But what you are saying is very true indeed, and can be quite usefull I suppose :)

8" monitors and MFDs for sale

Hi,

I am about to put two 8", flat fronted VGA monitors (800x600) for sale on ebay with two Thrustmaster MFD cougar button panel things.

I'd be much happier to see them go to a DCS user as the are perfect for setting up the MFCDs or as part of a serious cockpit build project.

Does anyone know of a good classifieds page or forum for Sim hardware?

Thanks,

Jon
