Shein Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I've read every bit of theory, every manual, watched as many videos as I can, but heat seeking missiles get me EVERY time. What am I doing wrong? I reduce thrust to no AB, I throw flares like crazy, I maneuver like crazy as well in an attempt to make the missile bleed energy but it STILL gets me! Ideas? mentoring? anything?

Shein Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 a su-27, i'm playing the DCAT missions. Aaaaand in looking up what missiles they're shooting at me, they're R27ER's. Radar guided. That explains a lot...
