The devs are aware that the F-14 can guide 6 phoenixes simultaneously and the F-15 can guide 8 AMRAAMs. Right now a limit of 4 is practical for the software, things may change later.

While every aircraft is limited to 4 by ED, the actual capability is this:

 

F-14: 6

F-16: 6

F-15: 8

I think you're both confusing each other, Pilotasso originally tried to say that Ed had it wrong for all a/c not just the F-14, USMC Trev misread and stated what Wags had listed and now Pilotasso thinks Trev is stating RL figures. All good fun.

gotta Nerf something, ... look on the bright side, 4 is only a messup if you use a 6 AIM-54 Loadout,

 

personally I'd wanna take some AIM-7s and AIM-9s with me. as AIM-54 wont mean squat within dog fighting range.

 

So I'd have 4 on the Under Belly Stations, 2 AIm-7 and 2 Aim-9 on each wing.

There's almost no reason to take 54's in a lot of other situations.

The OPFOR fighters were smart, they fled or stayed on the ground. :D

 

Fighters staying on the Ground with an A-10 in the Air isnt smart.

I had tried the VNAO MiG-29K online at Moa's Stallturn VNAO server, and while using the K engine thrust and improved radar range detection capability, anticipating the AIM-54 launch and get in optimal range for a R-77 launch while evading, it was a no-brainer. With the new AFM missile dynamics even supposing the 54's being fast missiles, I foresee they will be easier to evade.

 

As usual, it will be a matter of team tactics or outnumbering, being the F-14's sensors opposing airplanes still with the lower hand.

Some civ servs do get Crimbo off :music_whistling:... 1hr 5 mins to go.

 

Anyway I'd soon be frustrated at work not being able to play, rather than sat at home not being able to play (because it's shagged)
