Yellonet Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Different settings for different planes would be very welcome... regarding the AFM/non-AFM issue. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
S77th-GOYA Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I sure would have liked to see that the Tung/Mav problem is being fixed.

GregP Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Different settings for different planes would be very welcome... regarding the AFM/non-AFM issue. Seriously ... Is it possible that this point is somehow related to the above: "Implemented new joystick profile system. Now player can use several joysticks of same type and name. Each joystick instance have a unique configuration file." If not, what does this mean? Does anyone actually use 2 or more of the same joystick in-game? I don't understand what they're talking about here.
Guest ruggbutt Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I would imagine that you can map the same stick to different configs. For instance to fly the Su25(T) ED recommends not having any curve in your joystick config. With the other planes this is too touchy, so you'd add curve and maybe deadzone. I do this with my CH Manager, but it's nice that they are doing this for those that don't have the flexibility.

It might be a language problem though.. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
Kula66 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I've never noticed the range in HOJ mode! Where is it?
GGTharos Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 It only shows up if you select a weaponless station. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
kato217 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 For reference, I already use 2 sets of joysticks in FC 1.11 simultaneously. I use the throttle from my X-36, and the stick from my X-52 Saitek. Reason being that I hate the twist stick rudder on the X-52, and want to continue to use the rocker on the X-36 throttle control for rudder. But the X-52 stick is smoother than my X-36 stick (pots getting old on the X-36) which is more precise for formation flying. Only trick was to assign all buttons and axes to an in game function. Otherwise it seems to freeze up the axes after 5 mins of flight. (Thanks to whoever posted that tip in a different thread). So after all that, I'm not sure what 1.12 joystick stuff is either - lol!! S77th-GOYA Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Possibly an integration of the stick config utility someone posted a while back. Different configs for different planes.
504MrWolf Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Thanks for the info, any idea when they plan to release it? If you see my news post below the 1.12 one ive been told that 1.2 BETA testing starts in 1-2 weeks. Weve allways been told that 1.2 testing doesnt begin till small patches are out the way ;) www.VVS504.co.uk www.lockonskins.co.uk

Invicta Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 "Removed combat flaps position on F-15C and Su-33." I guess these planes don't have combat flaps positions in real life then?
Gazehound Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 "Removed combat flaps position on F-15C and Su-33." I guess these planes don't have combat flaps positions in real life then? No apparently not - in fact apparently Su-33s dont have flaps. The have 'Flaperons' whatever they are. VVS504 Red Hammers
GGTharos Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 No apparently not - in fact apparently Su-33s dont have flaps. The have 'Flaperons' whatever they are. A combination of flaps and ailerons ... you'll notice on the mig the flap and aileron surfaces are distinct - aileron motion doesn't affect flap position, and they're physically two differenct pieces of the wing. Flaperons combine the two surfaces into one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
