This just started about 4 weeks ago. I sent back my card to be rma. I got a new card in the mail yesterday and its still doing this. Does anyone no where to start.

 

In the video I get tearing only at the cockpit frame. Not like the tearing with eyefinity. Even does it with one monitor.:( I was thinking about getting an 680 to see if it happens with it to.

Have the same issue myself when using two screens.

 

I have 2x580 GTX in SLI.

 

I have never used two screens in DCS, but when I have played EVE, one of my monitors always has this strange tearing that you have. I suspect it's due to different resolutions on the screens.

 

My main monitor is 2560x1440 and secondary is 1920x1200, and I get the tearing on my secondary. Have not been able to get it fixed.

All same resolutions. Heres the big problem IT just started. Only one card.

This is normally caused by having Vsync switched off. Have you tried with it turned on?

 

I'm not sure how Vysnc works with multiple monitors though.

I have went to the point of getting a 680 to see if the problem goes away. Its the same. I tryed looking around without my IR tracker and im not getting the problem. Could IR be causing this problem with vsinc. If someone could help.

i think DCS is one of the titles you have to force Fr/sec Limiter or VSYNC.

forcing a Profile for DCS.exe w/ VSYNC forced on doesnt fix it either. (i think DCS.EXE is for the GUI ?)

what kind of monitor is that? I suspect it's the refresh rate on your monitor..

 

I believe the lower the 2ms on the monitor the better the v-sync is. :thumbup::joystick:

I saw this also...vsync on fixed it for me...in card I selected off unless app calls for it and turned it on in game...but I run one 52" monitor (in sig) @ 1920 X 1080

im running with 3daplication controlled for that dcs user profiles.

vsync in the dcs ui is off.

I noticed this with my AMD 7970, after upgrading the catalyst driver to 13.1. It didn't happen on the previous driver (12.something, can't remember). Better frame rates, but this weird issue occurring.

the options in the DCS for video are referred to as GUI or UI (Graphical user interface, user interface)

I have seen a weak power supply cause this. You might want to checck yours.

Tearing usually means absence of VSYNC. Did it start after driver update? Sometimes vsync gets broken by bugs in drivers (i.e. checkbox is on, but it simply does not work). ATI is kinda well known for having reappearing vsync bugs. If you were using older driver version when it still worked fine, try downgrading.

i forced VSync on in my AMD Cat 13.2 Beta 4 drivers, and was still getting 74 Frames/sec, so it's obviously not working on my end.

Using both Gloabal System settings, and a Profile for DCS.exe

I might have to re-install radeon pro and force the Frames/sec to stay at 60

Confirmed via chat with someone I know at AMD,

 

VSYNC for some games (DX9c?) or something, is broken and has been for a while.

 

Forcing it on in profile doesnt work.

 

Try Fr/PS Limiter, but that will be tricky since we have DCS.EXE and Launcher EXEs.

Im going to reformat. That was a suggestion for the tech at warranty station. Im getting the same problem with the 7970 sapphire and a 680 Evga.

I tryed radeon pro and it killed fsp and didnt help with vsync. I did a windows update maybe a month before this started.

I just got rid of it by opening Graphics CG and Setting Max FPS to 60 and VSYNC ON (for some reason it was off.).

 

I also Dropped displays back down to 256 (i had upped them to 512, but FPS hit compared to the returns was qustionable..) I also accidently disabled FSAA.

ok I got rid of it, was able to put my MSAA back on, and Displays back to 512 and maintain 60 Frames/Sec VSYNC.

 

I also had to delete my DCS.EXE Profile in AMD CCC as it was causing blured text.

 

Attached is my Settings (for example purposes),

My Settings do not reflect optimal settings for systems other than mine.

 

Also went into Graphics.CFG and Changed Max FPS to 60, (note if you never get that high, set it to 30). ) Line 330)

 

no more tearing in cockpit.

 

Try Unticking launching a mission, exit, and re-checking VSYNC as well, as I turned my off to see what my max FPS actually was.
