Is it the place to go , or do i click "multiplayer" in the game itself ? 2) CHEATERS. Are there any ? I play a lot of Battlefield 3 , there's not a LOT of cheaters in BF3, but i'm hoping that Lomac has even viewer of them ? 3) What game modes can i expect ? I remember a few good servers were up years ago, i liked most where there were just 2 bases and people would just try to get a kill and run back to base :) . Is that sort of gameplay still around ? 4) Are there also training servers ? This time around i'd like to get better at flying in itself. A flight stick and Track-IR are on the way . I'm pretty sure a lot of frustration will come from installing them so there will be questions about that soon . Anyway, training servers ? I'd like to formation fly and that sort of stuff to . 5) Lag , is lag still such a huge problem ? I remember people spamming print-screen to avoid missiles . How is that today ? 6) Is multiplayer FUN ? How big is the online community (that plays multiplayer) ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Runibl Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 1. In the game itself (or the desktop DCS multiplayer shortcut). This will bring you to the dcs server browser. 2. Personally haven't experienced any. 3. Depends on the server. Adversarial, where two teams play agains each other to complete their objectives first. Cooperative, where you work together to finish whatever the objectives might be. Or some may even have pure PvP dogfights or something entirely different. 4. There are also some who run pure training missions, with free flight, formation trainig, weapon training etc. 5. Generally don't experience any lag myself. And generally spamming print screen in mission is a big no no. And also against server rules. 6. Wow it is fun. Especially if you get on the servers teamspeak and start listening/talking. Usually plenty of people online, especially on some of the popular password free servers. Runi. I fire an 2 AIM 120's @ this guy "alexej", and they immidately go of course into nowhere , and my enemy isn't even doing any kind of manouvres ? Pilotasso Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 All I saw was the normal loft trajectory the missiles take to get altitude. Not only are the missiles being fixed but i think you fired low PK shots. Hes beyond the no escape zone and turning away. .

A track file is different, saved in your Tracks folder in your DCS/Saved Games folder, viewed in-SIM via the Replay tab. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? DERP compared to Mig's and Su's 2) No infrared (sidewinders don't count imo, range is 3 nm's at most or something, they are never usable in multiplayer) 3) Radar screen is poorly placed compared to mig . 4) Does NOT have the super handy navigation radar screen thing, where the awacs shows enemy planes in screen 5) Is slower than MIG, and bigger, and can't turn as fast. In russian RWR you can see only the strongest radar signal and you don't know if you are irradiated by friend or foe. In F15 you can see positions and types of all radars irradiating F15. In russian aircrafts it also have bad position. Fortumentaly russian RWR radar strenght meter is very accurate and you know when is the best time for turn to evade missile. AWACS datalink is not working in DCS multiplayer (bug) So you can only ask AWACS by radio and set your radar by its instructions. Russian Long range IR missiles are almost useless. Only when you are attacking enemy from behind. But yes. Optical targeting system is good to silent kills. Mig29 has alwo TWS but it is not implemented in 1.2.2 and will be in new build. F15 has much more powerfull radar then russian radars because It's scanning in big vertical scale. Russian radar scanes in scale cca 2 Km only. F15 can fly much higher then mig. At 1v1 fight F15 wins but we usually fly in formation, cooperating and comunicate through teamspeak. Welcome in UVP server. :) Edited February 4, 2013 by AJaromir
