rss0900 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I've tried a couple different profiles both Wags and Yassy (I think it is), but I keep having the same issues where I look up too far or down too far and my ability to look left and right stop because I loose track. I'm using a hat clip, anyone had this problem and can you recommend a solution or is it something you just get used to and learn to restrict your movements?
ilikepie Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 open the tir software so you can see what is happening with the hat clip/ it is more than likely the camera is losing track of the clip dots and so your view freezes. you may need to adjust the angle of the ir camera to compensate for it Action After Contemplation
Blooze Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 sounds to me like reducing the speed may solve your problem. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MaceUK Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Try this profile http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3733255/Re_DCS_A10C_Warthog_A_TrackIR_#Post3733255 as it has a nice big deadzone looking ahead. Also try to get used to the cockpit cues on the canopy to indicate where you are looking. Hamblue Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) If you just started using it give yourself time to learn it. Also try turning up the sensitivity so it doesnt take as much head movement to look around. Also when looking over side to side if you have a problem seeing an area, try moving your head in the opposite direction a little, hit recenter, then try again. Gideon Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I keep having the same issues where I look up too far or down too far and my ability to look left and right stop because I loose track. I had the same problem, till I found out that a bright light directly behind me was causing the problem. Take a look in the TIR software, how much dots you see. More than three, then you have the same problem. My problem was solved by switching off the light source.

Picksplitter Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 you won't like it, but this might help! I lub my ir tracker, but it took awhile. It really boils down to personal preference... try all the profiles available, but I gaurantee you won't be satisfied until you find your own comfort zone! Play with it, change everyting until it looks right to you. I have had mine for just over 1 year and I'm still tweaking. It does get better but it takes time and 'patience'. The best place to start is right here... and good luck! You won't regret it!
