How To Use Logitech F710 Gamepad in DCS World

How do you guys use gamepads DCS world? Just plug it in and play?

Update: It's very easy - just plug in your gamepad and restart the game. Now, check the controls tab in the options menu. In the table, look for the column with your newly added gamepad.

it should a third column in the options automatically.

Mine works..

 

Highlight what you want and double click.

 

A pop up should appear then press the desired button..

 

ie If I wanted to change select weapon I'll double click or click add in the controller column.

 

red means there's a conflict.

in this case my THW and peddles in unplugged

I tried to highlight it, so when pressing keys on keyboard then it works but gamepad doesn't. You sure guys you didn't modify anything?

 

just plugged it in and the controller showed up in DCS, if its showing up in DCS, but when you try to set a key nothing happens (as in pressing the cell with a mouse until a new window opens). then its not a problem with DCS, but the drivers for your controller, or maybe you havent installed them.

make sure you Click in the column under the device you want to map too.

 

 

i dunno how many times I'd click on a command under the CH Pro Throttle colomn and sit there hammering on a Button on the CH Fighter Stick and curse at my screen because it wasnt registering the button presses.

 

Also dont forget to CLEAR it first or you input will be secondary.

long time ago, i tried to add a ffb gamepad to Fc2 and didn´t work, i thought it is for ffb. After a while added another gamepad, non ffb and didn´t work too.

Reinstall helped and both worked.

Don´t forget the column is also important at assigning, can´t use any column, just the pads in selected row.

if you have a lot of devices plugged in, you may have to scroll to the right to see it. For example, with my xbox 360 controller plugged in, steering wheel, shifter, tm throttle, tm joystick, saitek rudder pedals, etc, i have to scroll right and left to view their respective columns, then just make sure you select the right column and enter the keybind...

are there players here who had success in using pc usb gamepads? What exact models you can recall working?

i know that any saitek pad will work, i use a saitek cyborg V.5 but it has some centering issues on the analogs, not worth the buy IMHO especially since the 360 pad is higher quality and cheaper

I use the F710 for CA. Works good.

 

Are you clicking on the row or column..

 

EDIT: also, what setting are you on D or X?
