Britchot Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Fairchild Republic? Nope, Lockheed Martin has been digitizing the A-10 into the C version since '97. http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/a10.html [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPU - Intel 8088 @ 4.77 MHz; Memory - 128KB; 360KB double-sided 5 1/4" full-height floppy disk drive; 10MB Seagate ST-412 hard drive JG-1 MiG-21bis Checklist

I had the opportunity to attend an airshow at Davis-Monthan AFB in AZ where they had an instructor pilot sitting in an A-10C cockpit answering any questions. I took my daughters up to the cockpit because they were just interested in looking at things but I was the one with a specific agenda. I was amazed at how close his knees were to the control panel, it reminded me of the Henschel Hs-129 from WWII. I've ridden in the passenger seat of a car with my knees at the panel and it made me uncomfortable, much less to fly a plane that way. Snoopy Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I'm 6'2", when I sit in the sit during my inspections my knees are about 1 inch from the AC/Heat vents. Even adjusting the rudder pedals doesn't help much. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website
Deadman Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 a tight fit for every thing to fit in there:smilewink: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Arctic Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) That awkward moment when you look at the Hotas Warthog in the Picture and that one on your desk... and there is no difference?!? Edited February 21, 2013 by Arctic

BRooDJeRo Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) The DCS secret service in action. :D The Digital Universal Semi-Secret Aviation Systems Databank. To hell with secrecy and have max detail clickable F22 in DCS. The rest of the nations will know what's new in that plane in a short time anyways if they don't know already. Just the general public doesn't know yet. Edited February 21, 2013 by BRooDJeRo
