Angel101
If the Ship is moving, It´s normal. Bug from latest versions. If the Ship isn´t moving, new bug. Because in 1.2.2 was possible.
Rotorhead
Hm. Weird. From official 1.2.3 change log: Helicopters no longer sink when they takeoff from aircraft carrier. Haven't tried it myself yet, but this statement seems untrue.
RodrigoMF_BR
Running on 1.2.2 Taking-off from the same Neustrashimy the KA50 with RAMP START never fall from helideck into the water, but the never can´t land at same ship in the mission´s end. Now...on 1.2.3 The helicopter always fall into the sea and continuous can´t land at ship in the mission end.
Esac_mirmidon
Both situations. IA helicopters taking off from MOVING or STOPPED ships, fall to sea ALWAYS. And also Su-33 taking off from Kutznesov makes the Harrier over the ship ascending 2 meters in the vertical prior to take off. Then, at landing, before arrestor hook is trapped, the plane lose all it´s weight and describes circles over the sea in a ingravid state, like the Space Station MIR. Great, two steps forward, one after. Sorry if i am rude, but my squad was working on a Amphibious mission, very ambicious, and this issue ruined all our work. BRooDJeRo
I'm affraid this isn't only related to helicopters. It seems to have an effect on all aircraft. So the problem could as well be in the carriers themselves. I've created a quickmission with AI only doing carrier ops. 4 carriers, 2 blue and 2 red. On 1 of each coalition heli ops. 2 seperate launching heli groups and 2 seperate groups landing. On the other carrier on each coalition fighter ops. First a squadron is launched at maximum catapult capability, after that 4 seperate groups will launch and land on the carrier. Aircraft seem to float and sink into the carrier, the tower seems non-existant for AI and collision is not a crash. After the fighter landings it's clearly visible that the ship seems to be moving on waves and carriersurface detection for aircraft doesn't seem to move along. ESA_maligno
Hi all. ia units of helicopters can not take off or land from the naval units. In version 1.2.2. this option was possible. Is it fixed in future updates?. For future versions operations from ships, will be basic, especially with modules such as the Harrier and UH1, not only flown by humans, also by ia. If an operation is not possible by the AI. missions editing loses much capacity. Thank you.
