towsim Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 version >= 3.0.14. TS changed the API with this version. Earlier versions will not work. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nicutapa Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I deleted export.lua and i reinstall ARIES from scratch but wiht only one monitor. It worked without any problem. I moved a ARIES window in middle and i activate second screen. Everything is ok guys for me. But..all the time there is a but ...i have a friend which receiving crash from DCS World when it start or after 5 min. Aries starts without any problem... Win 8 Pro 64-bit | i7 990X 3.46GHz HT off | 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3GB OC MSI | TrackIR5 | Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Rudder Pedals | 2 x Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs | 2 screens 42" and 27" 1920 x1080...| ButtKicker
towsim Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 @nicutapa It is hard to say what the reason could be. The first test should be if DCS crashes even with Aries deactivated. You can test it if you select the TeamSpeak menu Plugins/Aries Radio/Expot.lua Entry on/off. Unpush the 'Connect' button. If the error comes up again during a session, then the error is not caused by Aries.Vice versa, if the error comes up only with Aries connected, please send the following files from the crash session to support@ariescon.com: DCS World \AriesWings\logs\AriesAirborneRadio_log.html C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\AriesRadio\AriesRadioLog_log.html C:\Users\[your user name]\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\DCS-nnnnn.crash C:\Users\[your user name]\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\ dcs.log [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vespa Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) I got in trouble trying to execute the install file in new version...I got the error: Teamspeak3 client Path does not exist! But this is not true!! The path exists and already include previous Aries plugin.. :( Edited October 30, 2014 by Vespa
Schleudi Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) I got in trouble trying to execute the install file in new version...I got the error: You can try the following solution: 1. Uninstall the "old 1.954" version with the Windows installer. 2. Install the "new 1.954" version with the Aries installer. Sometimes there are problems with the Aries installer when two "identical" version numbers are installed. Stuka Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 It's not completely clear out of the description, but the installer asks for the folder where it will find the plugins folder. Not the plugins folder itself. In your case the correct entry would be "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client" 1 Windows 11 | i9 12900KF | 64GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | TM MFDs + Lilliput 8" | TIR5 Pro
towsim Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 @vespa Stuka is right. The label in the dialog is misleading. Remove the 'plugins' from the path string, then it should work. I will correct the label in the dialog. Sorry... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
NECK Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Towsim Thank you for a great program. We in the 132nd Virtual Wing have now converted to ARIES, and we think it is a great tool to increase the immersion for our flights. One feature request for the Gossip box: Would it be possible to add a feature to the gossip box where the controller can record a message, and play it in a loop on a frequency? The reason for the request is to have ATIS information that can change when using dynamic weather, and it would be a very immersive to include this function for longer missions that span more than a few hours. But again, thank for a great piece of software "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward for there you have been, and there you will always long to return" 132nd Public documents - Want to apply? - 132nd Youtube channel - 132nd Discord Channel
towsim Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 ATIS or simply a radio station transmitter is alrady in the queue. It will be available together with the first radar application. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vespa Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks Stuka and towsim...fixed removing the plugin folder in installation path...sorry for the silly trouble
Shane45 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 aries plugin is not showing in TS3 Hi guys, I'm glad that someone has managed to get it working but I have tried over an over again to get this running properly with no joy at all. I've downloaded the latest TS3 64BIT, ARIES version from the ARIES website, followed the PFD file instructions to the letter and the aries plugin still will not show in TS3 settings/ plugins. I have no idea I am doing wrong. I have uninstalled every trace of aries and ts3, so I can get a completley clean install, downloading as we speak, any help would be really appreciated thanks guys
towsim Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 @Shane45 We would need a little more description. Some questions: Did you experience the trouble already during the installation ? Did Aries start (you would see the Aries radio panel) together with the mission ? Does DCS crash or is the Aries radio panel simply not visible? Did you configure Aries to support your input devices? If you don't see the Aries radio panel, can you use PTT to illuminate the blue LED in TS3 ? If you can start DCS, look for the following files and send it to support@ariescon.com: In the folder, where you unzipped the downloaded package. there should be file named AirbornRadioInstaller_log.htm. C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\AriesRadio \ AriesRadioLog_log.html DCS World\AriesWings\logs\ AriesAirborneRadio_log.html [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Shane45 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Hi guys. I have tried and tried to get TS3 to recognize the ARIES plugin, I have folowed the ARIES pdf file instructions to the letter, and I still cannot get it to sync with TS3 V3.0.16 64 BIT helpppppppppppppppppppp/ please
Shane45 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Did you experience the trouble already during the installation ? ( I have no problem installing ARIES or TS3, Did Aries start (you would see the Aries radio panel) together with the mission ? ( I havent run the sim yet as I could not find the ARIES plugin in TS3 settings /plugin Does DCS crash or is the Aries radio panel simply not visible? ( Did you configure Aries to support your input devices? yes ) If you don't see the Aries radio panel, can you use PTT to illuminate the blue LED in TS3 ? If you can start DCS, look for the following files and send it to support@ariescon.com: In the folder, where you unzipped the downloaded package. there should be file named AirbornRadioInstaller_log.htm. ( yes, there is a log every time I try to get it to work ) I will send you the log files. C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\AriesRadio \ AriesRadioLog_log.html DCS World\AriesWings\logs\ AriesAirborneRadio_log.html Thankyou very much towsim
Shane45 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 towsim, I think I may have found the problem ? C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\AriesRadio \ AriesRadioLog_log.html ( only this part of the file exists ( C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins ) there is no ariesradio\ariesradiolog
shagrat Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Sounds like you missed the plugin folder... see this post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2218111 Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
towsim Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) @Shane45 OK, it seems we are a little closer to reason. First check, if AriesRadio.dll can be found at C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins. If it is not there, then your installation was already wrong. If it is there: Does TeamSpeak have a 'Plugins' entry in the menu line and, if yes, can you open the Aries Radio pulldown? If the menu is not there, open the 'Settings ' menu and select 'Plugins'. Aries Radio should have an entry in the left list window and should have a check mark. If AriesRadio.dll appear as red entry, then it is most likely, that you must start TeamSpeak with Administrator rights. Late entry: Just inspected your last post a little more precise. It seems, that the installation failed already. If the AriesRadio subfolder is not there then you have an installation problem. It would be important to send your installation protocol 'AirbornRadioInstaller_log.htm'. It resides in the folder, where you started 'SetUp.exe'. Edited November 1, 2014 by towsim [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
