The 36° thanked the pilots of UVP that made us suffer in the second and third round ... the tactics you've adopted has been difficult to interpret and defeat. Congratulations to the sagacity and skills.

We hope to see you soon again in flight!

Great job Diego as a leader AND pilot with your 2 decisive kills on the final round. Only 4 squadrons left now and great to see 36th among the elite :)

NFI were VERY impressive on their last match, so good luck guys and may the best team win

With survival instinct taking sometimes the upper hand over the requirement of a fighter sweep mission, also reaching last stages of the competition, we have felt there is a need to update the rulebook accordingly:

  • Entering combat zone on time: All aircrafts MUST enter combat zone within 15mn after takeoff. Entering combat zone means getting within 80km/49nm from Waypoint 1.

  • Holding combat Zone: All aircrafts MUST stay within combat zone as long as there is at least 1 bandit inside combat zone. Any aircraft exiting combat zone (more than 80km/49nm away from waypoint1) BEFORE neutralizing all bandits has to exit the server and is considered neutralized (mission failure).

Rulebook updated on post#1 as well.

Note: The update above is not an invitation to fight in desperate situations (1vs many) or go suicidal. It's a simple mean to prevent possible scenarios that could deny a team a legitimate victory. For example, last survivor pulling back all the way to home base without landing in attempt to force a tie, especially if enemy fighters have just enough fuel to hold combat zone and RTB and can not afford chasing escaping bandits.

In a real war scenario, Fighter sweep would mean taking air superiority over an area to cover ground units, therefore pulling back out of this area means mission failure despite surviving. So once again, a pilot can have the choice between fighting to death or save his life and aircraft by pulling back out of combat zone and concede the round.

Hi,

We enjoyed the match a lot. The first round was a complete dissaster for us so we decided to use different tactics.

The last round was very difficult as well. We wanted to play the same tactics but you came with the very agressive plan which turned out to be the winning one.

I personaly enjoyed the last 1v3 and then 1vs2 gun fight. Unfortunately I was not able shoot you down with gun and the I lost all fuel. Still amazing round.

Thank you,

Both our teams - UVP1 and UVP2 are out now so we would like to thanks to the organizators of this event and to all the participators.

See you in the sky soon...

Very necessory update.

There were trigger settings in the last SATAC FC3 Map and anyone exit the combat zone will explode himself, but "left engine fire" problem happened and we didn't kown why, so we make a new map,to make sure the new map running well we have deleted all the trigger settings to make the map as concise as possible;

Maybe we can update the map next time to make it perfect.

Yes, we will use triggers to include it asap. We're doing it manual until we find the right trigger implementation.

Tonight there was a clash between 36° SV and NFI ...

The NFI were truly superior, knowing take full advantage of the F-15 c and its missiles.

We in the 36° we are happy to have fought this match against Chinese pilots ... they have given us a lesson.

The end result is 2-0 for them.

It will be a pleasure to meet again this squadron in the future hoping that next time the parties are reversed.

Thank you

Nice for 51st PVO, they'll beat you, NFI, since they beat you already once, can do it twice, AND since you NFI guys beat my greek friends (373rd Phoenix)... !!! :( xD ;) (kidding, wish everybody much fun this weekend! ;) )

51st PVO and NFI will meet tomorrow July 7th for the final consecration.

Both teams were very convincing tonight with straight-round victories over the experienced Ukrainian pilots from UVAF.

51st lost 1 single round on their way to the final match and it was against NFI on the second round. The Su-27 gurus remain undefeated, displaying as of today a frightening 24-0 record since their inception in December 2007.

Despite a slow start, NFI kept improving throughout the competition, their last 2 victories were very impressive and the match lost against 51st on the 2nd round was a close one.

So, it's a very interesting final match in perspective, opposing the team to beat to a very proficient F-15C squadron.

What a final! I was sitting behind the players pool so not seeing much, though I could feel the heat...51st PVO, once again, came back from 1 round down to win the match. To do it once is great, to do it again and in the final against relentless NFI's simply proves the undeniable superiority of this great Su-27 bunch of aces as individual pilots and as a team. They remain undefeated after 25 international matches. Congratulations 51st!

I also would like to thank all the squadrons that participated in this great event. Excellent fair play and friendly ambiance throughout the competition! already looking forward to the next one :)

Congratulations to 51st !This evening is so hard for us ,we have used all our missiles and fuel, at last we have to use our guns.

FC3 is not perfect now and there are many bugs for Su-27, so I think this SATAC is really hard for all Su-27 pilots this time.

Congratulations again and we look forward to next SATAC.

Many thanks to Flanker, too, you have do so much and everything will not happen without your effort.
