You're suffering from delusional logic. Weight? Drag? Gravity? How are you going to overcome these with a throttle chop?

By ZOOMING UP. If you're a couple hundred feet below or next to a cloud, you could use it for cover.

I'm saying, it's an option worth considering. Terrain masking would always be better ofcourse.

Yeah a couple hundred feet would work.

But what do you mean "zooming up?" A zoom climb is where you gain as much speed in level flight as you can before climbing....which you can't really do when there's a missile on your tail, nor can you do it even in a clean A-10.

Terrain masking is good as long as you know where the threats are.

Are you even familiar with the flare rejection techniques?

Not particularly, but i'm 100% certain that what you think you know about rejection is the cliffs notes. I'm a signal processing guy, the cliffs notes don't interest me.

Put CMSC on Z program and press CMD Forward like crazy... Turn and burn....

There is a very good, yet unfortunate video of an F-16 pilot evading 6 SAM's in Operation Desert Storm as he is flying towards his bombing objective, As-Salim North airbase. I suggest you take a look at it for learning how to break and evade like in RL.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

That's a HUD tape right? Hardly useful for learning how to evade missiles when you can't see the missiles, where they came from, or where the pilot is in relation to them ;)
