311Gryphon Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hi, i am planning to buy warthog, but i have one question. Is there still something to do? If i complete all campaigns and downloaded missions what can i do then? :joystick: I've been playing for almost 2 months and I have actually never really finished any of the Instant Action missions to my satisfaction and have only completed a single Campaign Mission. This isn't to say you cannot advance faster than that but I don't get much time to play during the week and I've spent most of my time just flying in very small and fast missions that I've created myself to learn the plane. I've flown a couple of long missions with a friend but have had limited success in that. The point I'm trying to make is that you can advance rather rapidly and finish the campaign but there is a learning curve so that's not going to happen in a week like with most games due to the fact that this is a study simulation of the highest fidelity. Even if you do complete the campaign in record time there are a lot of other things you can do. Multiplayer is an option. Downloading other user created missions from the DCS website is an option. Creating your own missions is an option. There is a lot to do and if you stick with it (for the learning part) you'll actually get more mileage out of the money you spend on this than you will most games. http://www.youtube.com/user/311Gryphon i7-8700, 32 GB DDR4 3000, GTX 1080 TI 11GB, 240 GB SSD, 2TB HDD, Dual (sometimes Triple) monitor, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Combat Pedals, TrackIR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Scarecrow Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Yup, I bought A10c about two years ago (beta day 2) and haven't run out of missions to play yet. The user made missions are very good, there is alot of talent in this community. I play Grimes's "On Station" mission often which generates random targets on the basis of number of players and loadout, its a great mission with infinite replayability. You can buy A10c and rest assured that there is plenty of content and there will be plenty more created by incredibly talented and knowledgable folks. In short, it is nigh impossible to run out of missions for A10c ;) Edited June 12, 2013 by Scarecrow

Hummm ... I just looked for that and couldn't find in the "user files" section of the main site. Can you post a link, Scarecrow? I am sure this is an ID-10-T error on my part. :smilewink: System Specs: Spoiler Callsign:Kandy Processor:13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K - RAM: 64GB - Video Card: NVIDIA RTX 4090 - Display: Pimax 8kx VR Headset - Accessories: VKB Gunfighter III MCG Ultimate, VKB STECS Standard, Thrustmaster TPR Pedals, Simshaker JetPad, Predator HOTAS Mounts, 3D Printed Flight Button Box Video Capture Software: Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), Video Editing Software: PowerDirector 35 Into The Jungle (MP Mission) F18: Scorpion's Sting Apache Campaign - Griffins Kiowa Campaign - Assassins

Wrecking Crew Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Can you say... Multiplayer? :-) Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
Hamblue Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I've only finished a single mission. After that it was all multi-player. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Samsung 830, 256 gig hard drive, GTX780 Video Card, Warthog Hotas, Razer Mamba mouse. Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals. Trackir 5, Verizon FIOS 25Meg Up/Down
kk0425 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Multiplayer is much better than single player. I really wouldn't worry too much about single player. It's not like other games where you finish them then there is nothing to do.
