dmagnusson
Is it possible to play BS 2 with keyboard? Read on another post that HOTAS WARTHOG isnt to recomend for the BS 2. Is that true? cichlidfan
While a Force Feedback stick would be a better helicopter controller, the Warthog will still do the job quite nicely. As for flying BS with a keyboard, while I am sure it can be done I doubt it would be a very enjoyable experience (at least in sim mode). karambiatos
i tried flying it with a keyboard, it was really easy TBH, much easier than a joystick but the collective part was a bit problematic A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
TimeKilla
Use a joystick and throttle of course! I fly all my helicopters with a HOTAs once you have got used to it and if you have never flown the correct way its great. :) Please don't use a keyboard unless you really need too, someone else will put it into better words but HOTAS are really fine and very enjoyable for BS2. Wolfie
I tried it when I first got BS. It sucks. There's just to many controls to try to do at once. Rudder became a huge problem. Just get a Saitek or other "somewhat cheap" joystick. I know joysticks have become a little expensive of late. If you have a game port still, I recommend the Raptor Fire Stick. I picked up one for $9 a few years ago. EXCELLENT joystick. Has a rubber collar on it that gives you just enough tension for good control. Eight buttons and an 8-way coolie hat give you some good control options. Slazi
If you already have the Warthog stick you'll be fine.

jib
Flying the Blackshark with just a keyboard is like eating a steak without using your hands.
