Mistermann Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 try making a shortcut with this command: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update ... or schedule that as a recurring job at some obscure time when you're not on the computer. You'll never sit through another update again. Yurgon Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 One question though... If nothing major is wrong and only small bug fixes are being addressed then why release a major patch? Don't mix up bugfixes with new features. Also, improving performance is not generally considered a bugfix but may require a huge amount of work. The whole 1.2.4 series so far has been about addressing "smaller" bugs and problems to get these out of the way. 1.2.5, as far as I understand it, is going to introduce a reworked ATC that many players have been waiting for for a long time. Or, to quote the 21 June news update: "Our primary focus will be on improving game performance, addressing game play issues, and setting the stage for further modules." I think this makes perfect sense.
martinistripes Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 The frequent updates are great. Valve Index | RTX 4080 (Mobile) | i9-14900HX @ 2.20 GHz | 32GB RAM
