Bourrinopathe Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 With Ironhand's permission, I've taken many of those videos and integrated them into the Su-25T and FC3 training menus. They can be found at LOF Su-25T Videos FC3 Videos (note that this "download" just includes a link to the 8 part archive) Thanks a lot for your efforts Home Fries! I remember I downloaded the excellent Ironhand's videos back in FC 1.12 and having those available in the DCSW UI is a great addition. And if we have to watch them and pause them on a second monitor they are here: …\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\EN\Training I hope Wags will find the time to produce the interactive training missions for FC3 (delivered with the new AFMs? :music_whistling:) The problem with the current vids (except the 4:3 ratio) is that the sound mixing awfully drawn the voiced instructions in a loud maelstrom of engines roarings and stuff. At least it's now without any loading time ;) /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///
VanjaB Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 You do realize that the Su-25T missions were revised for the latest 1.2.6 update, right? ED has a lot on their collective plate (including upgrading 3D objects, cockpits, and flight models for FC3) so I won't hold my breath, but I'm happy to take Wags' statement at face value. I was mostly refering to the "when I have the time" part of the statement. Like you said ED has a lot on their plate right now. Somehow I doubt that Wags will find the time to implement something that should have been done years ago any time soon....

Noj Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) A bit late to this one - I'm not flying for some months at the moment due to other commitments. I uploaded the old training pages I use for reference. It is the training missions in text form - with different colours for commands etc - as presented on the old JaBog32 site, I think. I converted them to RTF pages and added some colour and the images. Even though it is for the original Flaming Cliffs, almost all of it is still relevant to FC3. http://www.datafilehost.com/d/29909ad9 You may need to hurry if you want to download - I think it gets deleted after a short time. Its about 73MB due to having to use zip rather than 7z :( I print these out and put them in a display book for easy reference - then you have the procedures for every aircraft at hand. Home Fries Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Noj, Is there a way to download that file without using a download manager? I have a healthy paranoia about downloading "managers." -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
Noj Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Sure, just uncheck the box and click on the download link - just did it myself to check all was okay :smilewink:
Home Fries Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Thanks. Didn't get the checkbox option the first time. Must have been my script blocker. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide

Psyrixx Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Here's my own tutorial series for the Su-25T if you're looking for some instruction in English, they're detailed and long, but I've gotten quite a bit of positive feedback on them. Abburo Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Thank you Psyrixx. I have already watched your tutorials and from my side you have 5 out of 5 stars. Well structured, well presented, indeed a bit more longer than necessary, but overall extreme usefull. Noj Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Fire, whilst your videos are a nice quality and your German is very nice (i.e. no dialects or such and spoken at a very nice pace), I don't think this would be the sort of thing that the OP or Abburo are looking for. Your video comes over more as a detailed review with hints and tips rather than a concise procedural tutorial. Like I said, your example Su-25T video is very watchable, though.
Razgriz1 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I would also love to have tutorial missions like the Su-25T has, even if they doesn't have voice over. Landing and navigation tutorial missions would also be nice, but at least I'd like to see tutorial missions with combat basics for each aircraft, so BVR for the F15, Su 27/33, short range Air to Air for the Mig and CAS tutorial for the A-10A, to know at least how to use the different sensors and weapons for each aircraft. The videos we have now have very poor quality, and while they help, the tutorials for the Su-25T are so much better that I think I've been spoiled by them.
