Further attempts show that the port mission has the same HUD bug as the airbase mission, and it starts horribly with the player aircraft in a more severe dive than it did in FC2, and way out of position with the leader.

And the guns and rockets practice mission has the same problem as the bombs and mav practice mission, hangs while unloading the GUI.

Overall, there is also the problem previously mentioned with the maverick slew, in FC2 it was kinda squirelly, but now it is far worse.

and the pitch up when firing the gun is very hard to deal with, so PAC would be greatly appreciated.

ETA: Also previously mentioned about the amount of elevator input needed to rotate on takeoff..... and then the sudden rotation when it finally responds.

But the flight model sure is more realistic, the thing is a dog with a full load LOL

And I much prefer the new AP over the old one.

On a more personal note, I still haven't come to terms with the fall line rather than pbil for the bombs (this goes for A-10C as well), wish I could stop my habitual reaction to the angle of the line, I always turn the wrong way in reaction to deviations.

And confirm, maverick (both the D and the K) won't lock on at all to a Strela. No problem with anything else I've tried.. Shilka, ZSU-23 on a Ural, BTR 80...

In fact, sometimes when I tried to slew the cursor toward it from left to right, it wouldn't budge, like some kind of force field or sumpthin LOL.

Also confirm, Cannot use ATC to RTB. comm menu for departure airport gets stuck with the abort takeoff option. Even if you try sending it, it still comes back with the same option.

The mission log doesn't show the player's A-10a takeoff time either.

Looks like the ATC thinks player is still on the ground.

Just found this in the change list for update 1 to 1.2.6 under FC3:

Several A-10A switches have had their position set to on: PAC Switch, Inverter Switch, AC Gen Switches, Radar Altimeter Switch, Anti Skid Switch, Fuel Boost Pump Switch, and Engine Fuel Flow Switches.

None of which is true for the module version.

FWIW, I discovered that the HUD Bug in the FC2 carryover missions is due to some settings in the config\views folder of the MIZ file.

I used 7zip to open and extract all from the miz file, and then re zipped all but that folder and renamed it to .miz. And the HUD was back to normal.

Yes, just posted this on another thread. Glad to see it confirmed here as I was wondering if it was an install problem or something of the likes.

Another problem I have noticed. The air to air refueling does not seem to work. Apart from learning how to "hook up", I was then faced with thoughts about just how long I had to stay hooked up to even begin to get some fuel transferred from the tanker. I am positive that my three minute upper limit "stay connected time" (so far), and after receiving the "you are taking fuel" transmission should have been enough to register some increase in my FOB.

Could this also be related to the ATC / logbook problem in some way? Like, if you are not "registered" as flying, how can you possibly take fuel from the tanker? I say this because the refueling procedure seems to be all tied up feet and hands with the coms menu and ATC system, which is clearly defective. Any news regarding?

Almost everything with A-10A got fixed by 1.2.7.

Below I;m presenting my personal list of annoying but not game breaking bugs:

- Actuator responsible for canopy opening is not moing in F1 view, however it is in F2

- Sounds are playing late, for example when using brakes, or too long, like canopy open/close

- During ground operations it feels like I'm driving car on ice

- Aircraft is shaking when I start rolling

- Still no Airbrake wind

My list of favourite fixes:

- Can finally pick rounds types in ME

- Moar weapons

- Fan texture has blades on low RPM

- Suspension got updated, it feels cool to land

Just noticed 2 issues with A-10A

1) Switching to GUNS mode makes the aircraft pitch down considerably. Have to trim it out. I think this is a PAC thing - but should it have such a dramatic effect on trim as soon as you switch to GUNS (I thought only when firing).

2) PAC seeming like its not functioning on INSTANT ACTION mission for A-10A. Very strange.

The same with the AGM target adjustment. It is still the same problem that when you try to move the cursor to the left it moves to the right. I dont think that's how targeting really worked.

I am glad I just found this thread. I see that some of the issues I'm experiencing aren't just me.

I have posted another issue I just discovered last night regarding CBU-97s and CCIP/CCRP: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122103

I am a bit frustrated that over a year after purchasing FC3, I am still surprised and confused by these kinds of issues every time I try to fly.

I see your frustration, same here. I have not tried the CBU-97 in a while but it should work in CCIP mode also. Have you tried making a new mission from scratch with an A-10A and some soft targets. Sometimes old mission files creates strange stuff happening.

Anyone figure out the ATC "abort takeoff" bug. I cannot use ATC at all. When I select the airport, it sill asks if I want to "abort takeoff". I noticed this mentioned in November 2013 and I guess it is still not fixed?

So I was calibrating my stick to be able to AAR. Man, DCS is epic with right music and curves. After that I was doing afghan style mission on my test range with Avenger cannon.

Anyway, the point is that PAC logic is wrong. It should counter recoil, not trim down like mad something ;)

PAC is definitely goofy on the A. As soon as you enter CANNON mode the plane trims down like crazy. I think this is ok if it trimmed down when I was FIRING the cannon.... the problem is the A-10A trims down when you SELECT the cannon.... WRONG!!

So what ends up happening is you select cannon.... A-10A trims down like crazy.... you correct for level flight again... and now when you FIRE the cannon, you get no PAC adjustment since you just trimmed it all out!

PAC trim adjustment should activate when you FIRE the CANNON not when you SELECT the CANNON as the active weapon!

This needs to be fixed....

I was using the bombs and mavericks training mission to investigate the CBU-97 CCIP issue last night, and noticed that CBU-87's still land well short of the where the piper is when used in CCIP mode. I thought I remember reading that this was fixed in one of the change logs...?

So here it is nine months since the last post in this topic and it seems like some of these problems are still in Dec 2014's ver 1.2.14.35605

I've never seen ED respond in this topic to any of these bugs so I'm guessing they don't realize these bugs exist?
