Eddie Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Well, I suppose when you've never taken your aircraft into combat you have to do something to make people think you've done something worthwhile. And training "kills" at least let you paint something on the jet so you don't feel left out.
TurboHog Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Gotta take your kills where you can get them :) The point was that even real world pilots are proud of their "score" But they don't engage in a dogfight a couple of times a day... Most of them not even once during their career. So it's kind of special. 'Frett'
ED Team NineLine Posted August 20, 2013 ED Team Posted August 20, 2013 Well in today's world real air kills are harder to come by, so who can blame them :) Well, I suppose when you've never taken your aircraft into combat you have to do something to make people think you've done something worthwhile. TimeKilla Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 How can you tell if it's a training kill? In real life. :joystick: YouTube :pilotfly: TimeKilla on Flight Sims over at YouTube.
GGTharos Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Because it happens in a training exercise? Or do you mean how can you tell it would have been a kill if real weapons were used? How can you tell if it's a training kill? In real life. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
TimeKilla Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 No my bad, I thought someone said they painted training kills on to the aircraft due to lack of real life kills.. :helpsmilie: Sorry.. :joystick: YouTube :pilotfly: TimeKilla on Flight Sims over at YouTube.
Maximus_Lazarus Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Also note that it is not a Battlefield or Call of Duty game where personal kill/death ratio's and stats turn normal people into arrogant and selfish monsters... You shouldn't care so much about who is credited with the kill anyway... Just that he is no longer a threat to anyone of your team. Damn is is that obvious ? Maybe i DO need an attitude adjustment  Fine, you caught me, i'm a tryhard FPS player with EPIC stats. 4 K/D ratio , infantry only no vehicles ! IMPRESSED ? YEAH U ARE, 1 VS 1 ME FAIGT, FITE ME IRL ! Ok, that was the last time, consider my attitude adjusted. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Cooper 001 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 In referance to the confermed kills. I fly the KA 50, I like to attack airports, some times I will hit a jet with a few cannon rounds and they get away. Later they will be downed by another jet, and I will get the kill. Seems strange to me Cooper
ENO Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Well in today's world real air kills are harder to come by, so who can blame them :) I see we're not the only ones who are proud of the aircraft we take down... "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
