Its simply not possible for me atm in 1.2.5 to have a stable MP session.

Anyway...

Im playing 1.1.1.1 until 1.2.6 will make EEEVERYTHING good:music_whistling:

But I cant see any servers running!?

Are there some guys still running a-10 or BS stand alone? (1.1.1.1)

Last summer i still saw eno´s firehouse or some russian servers?

Are someone out there? :)

Eno's is on v125 now. No recent discussion that I've heard of about MP servers still running down-level versions.

The servers are still running very badly, There are alot of us that are still having Major issues.

 

I havent heard of any old time servers for a long time now

I know what he's talking about though and I've been looking at downgrading to at least 1.2.4.

 

I'm getting more feedback than ever about massive warping even with only 2-4 players in with good pings on missions I've NEVER had problems with before. It's brutal. We all pay a lot of money for the bandwidth we use to host servers and the fact that it's got this bad is frustrating.

 

I'm not sure if anyone else has had the same issues?

My server hasn't actually crashed in awhile but it sure is warping a lot- My speed tests consistently come up fine- so I know things are smooth on my end (180 down, 13-14 up).

Yeah, it is horrendous. I have never seen any Flaming Cliffs/DCS version this incredibly unstable. The server will crash and kick everyone off just if you sneeze the wrong way.

 

I really, REALLY wish ED would make multiplayer sessions more stable before they come out with a new module. Imagine how many new players they are losing because of how ridiculously crash-tastic DCS is.

 

As it stands, a server with 20 people is unlikely to last even 30 minutes. It's bad, I don't think I've ever seen such an unstable game.

 

I can't even BEGIN to tell you how infuriating it is when a server crashes seconds before a missile I've shot at someone hits them. This tends to be the point where the server crashes, I have no idea why...I am tired of cursing ED's name at the end of every multiplayer session (when the server crashes). What SHOULD be the funnest and most exciting multiplayer games, the ones with 20+ people, end up being the most frustrating and shortest lived. Come on ED, fix it! I would PAY for an update if it would just fix the damn multiplayer.

Yes ED, please give a high priority to MP. DCSW is hands down the best combat simulator in the market today, but the MP instability has started threatening its future and potential. It's great to have that many projects in development but an equal effort should be dedicated to keep the game stable and enjoyable MP wise. Now, I'm not a game programmer but it seems that the more features and plug-ins the more complex the system becomes and the more bugs are likely to start popping up.

 

We are trying to promote multiplayer for this game because we love it first and foremost. We hope that MP stability becomes the 1st priority even if it could mean slowing down temporarily other internal projects. Potential is huge but as MP stands right now, it's starting to become a big let down.

That's affirm here. I play 1.1.1.1 too.. Let me know ur timezone. mine is GMT+2 Cairo.

I think this latest patch yesterday much have fixed something, today on the <51> server I played for well over an hour with 20+ people. Might be just coincidence that it lasted that long without crashing but I don't think so

I checked this morning - no patch.

I launched DCS (now) two days ago and got a very tiny update.

 

Might also be something they changed on the <51> server. It lasted for a long time and never crashed with 20+ people, that never happens, they really should do the same map today and see if that's it.

I can confirm there are major issues with the MP.

 

I run the DCS Israel server and I'm having very hard time running the server with no issues.

There was no other way but to disable all the CA in my mission as it is definitely not stable at the moment, still the server crashes every now and then for no apparent reason in several different missions.

 

I hope ED are giving MP stability a very high priority, the community DCS has built is excellent I can confidently say I can get more than 40 guys into weekly missions but have no way to accommodate them with DCS at the moment, not to say do any MP mission for even 2 guys without the mission crashing/lagging/warping or any other MP side effect we know.

 

A part of a game progress and reputation is the way the community pushes is forwards, I really hope ED are taking these issues seriously, wouldn't want DCS to get a bad reputation such Cliffs Of Dover had, it would ruin the enthusiasm DCS has gained.
