badger66 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Would it be possible for ED to include a loadout of 2 GBU-12 on a TER as opposed to a full 3 loadout , or is there a way to edit the loadout . Please , I remember another thread something about this but I cant find it . Also , would editing this file be difficult , cuz Im a push button and go with respect to PC . Some have said just to drop 2 GBU after takeoff ..... but this can effect your take off weight badly at some airports ..... plus , it cant be so difficult for ED to include that option .
Maverick-X Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Would be a nice option. I dont think it is possible to edit it just vía the loadouts, because there has to be a pointer for that. All loadouts are a list that connects a pointer with a hardpoint. The pointer represents a Weapon, so if there is no pointer for a left/right setup for 2 GBU 12 on TER you can't add it. I'm not an expert on this, so perhaps its possible but I don't know how. The possibility to just drop 2 GBU's after Takeoff is quite a good workaround, as you can take off with above MTOW, although I don't like the unrealistic point of it.
Grimes Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Yeah its possible, it just needs for some lua files to be altered as needed. You've just posted a very generic and universal answer to majority of questions asked on ED forum ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] -- "The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good shit. Grimes Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Well in this case it is very much true. :) The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Maverick-X Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I guess ptako's point wasn't going to possibility but much more to "how to" ;-)

badger66 Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 Yeah , that's what I mean Grimes ..... How do I do that simply please ? And can ED include this is a future patch . I see your on the test team , so possibily you could bring this up at the next test ..... I cant be that hard to do for Ed ?
Cali Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) It would be nice if they brought back the option for the user to pick their loadout. How ist it currently not possible to choose your loadout. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Cali Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Not sure i understand. How ist it currently not possible to choose your loadout. Are you able to pick whatever weapon you want on any station? I haven't played DCS or FC in a very long time and last time I played you have certain loadouts you could choose from. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Flagrum Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Are you able to pick whatever weapon you want on any station? I haven't played DCS or FC in a very long time and last time I played you have certain loadouts you could choose from. You can only load certain weapons on certain stations, not every weapon on every station. But that was always that way - similar to the real thing.
GC1993 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Are you able to pick whatever weapon you want on any station? I haven't played DCS or FC in a very long time and last time I played you have certain loadouts you could choose from. You can edit each individual station, both in the mission editor before hand, or when you're on the ramp in game by pressing Right Alt + ' (though realistic limitations apply, most stations can only be loaded with certain munitions) :)
Eddie Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (though realistic limitations apply, most stations can only be loaded with certain munitions) Actually quite a few "realistic" payload options are not available. The option being asked for in this thread is one of them. I have to say I'm not a massive fan of the current payload selection system in DCS, it's a bit too restrictive. A system which allows more varied loading, such as the system in Falcon would be better. What we have now works, but it does mean variations such as the above get missed out. And adding them just makes the drop down lists when selecting payloads ever longer. Well you know more about it than me mate! On that topic, I often read about maverick debates within DCS. People say you can't actually carry 6 because the ones closest to the fuselage either side would burn the tyre off on launch, yet wikipedia (don't judge) says "6x AGM-65", can you clarify?
