Tvrdi Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Just and idea. Would be cool to offer Europe 44 backers P51 module for symbolic price now. Lets say 5 bucks or something like that. So we can try it before participatin in beta stage of Europe 44.
ED Team NineLine Posted September 6, 2013 ED Team Posted September 6, 2013 5 bucks? that's swinging a little low I think... It goes on sale all the time for 15 or 20 I think, and at that its an incredible steal... its well worth more than 5 bucks... 9.JG27 DavidRed Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 yes tvrdi!its definitely worth the full price...

Lets say that offer should be only for backsters who "donated" 40+ bucks for DCS Europe 44....So in the end 45 bucks for P51 test-try and for DCS Europe 44 funding.... but ok...I will wait for sale Edited September 6, 2013 by Tvrdi
ED Team NineLine Posted September 6, 2013 ED Team Posted September 6, 2013 Backers who pledge 40 bucks are supposed to get 3 flyable aircraft arent they? That seems like a lot already, specially when a new flyable is 40-50 bucks usually? Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Yes, thats a good bargain, even though nobody knows what will be....Idea was to offer discount for 40+ backers for existing P51 module....arghh Edited September 6, 2013 by Tvrdi
ED Team NineLine Posted September 6, 2013 ED Team Posted September 6, 2013 I understand that's your idea, and what I am saying is it sounds like a bad idea lol Yes, thats a good bargain, even though nobody knows what will be....Idea was to offer discount for 40+ backers for existing P51 module....arghh Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Tvrdi Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) I understand that's your idea, and what I am saying is it sounds like a bad idea lol Really? Why? Its just and additional reward (which will make more funding btw) for 40+ backers...Im not asking it for free...I think P51 was on sale for 10$ last spring....Was it also a bad idea? BTW, flying DCS P51 would give backers (and potential backers!) an approximate idea what they can expect from DCS Europe 44.... Currently P51 module is 39.99 $ Edited September 6, 2013 by Tvrdi
ED Team NineLine Posted September 6, 2013 ED Team Posted September 6, 2013 Because if 40 bucks for 3 P-51D level aircraft isnt enough for you to lay down some cash then I dont know what is... not to mention the P-51D is ED's module not RRG's. And it may be 39.99, but I am sure it will be on sale soon enough... they always seem to have a sale every so often if 39.99 is too much for you. Really? Why? Nobody said it isnt. :) You must realize some of us are not living in a countries with stable economics.... where average salaries are not more than 800 bucks....but who cares right? hehe I'm not sure that is a fair argument for ED or anyone to base their price on. It's not like I am rolling in money myself, doesnt mean I expect anyone to give away products to me either. At this point, its not doing us any good to debate this, ED and RRG will dictate prices and what you get for your money based on their needs to stay in business and bring us more flight sim goodness... =Mac= Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I prefer (LockOn) Modern Air Combat. But, I currently have the P-51 and had it almost from day 1. Let me put it this way: Whatever comes out in DCS (so long as it has the fidelity of the A-10C, etc., I will buy it full price. (Not that I am rich or anything, but I want to make sure DCS reigns supreme in the Flight Sim world... as it currently does.) I bought LoMAC twice, and I even bought the Black SHark but don't fly it (uh..... can't.... uh... don't know how....) DCS is my hobby. I don't smoke, drink, do drugs, nor run around with strange women (except one) so any spare coins I have are dedicated to DCS and its implementation. I can come up with $40 if you are that desperate. But you'll have to polish my shiny P-51 and sweep out the Huey's cargo area. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

XtraChrisP Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 They cant be supreme or serious with trees without collision model.....ghost trees in hardcore sim? thats a joke mate Meh... You can't model everything. Personally I'm ok with them cutting that particular corner. On another note, I got P-51D for $10 and even though I rarely fly it, I can still recognize that it's a tremendous steal at twice that price.

CaldurSeer Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) This is what you would really get for backing (or not because it will be free!) the project: Creator Ilya Shevchenko about 9 hours ago Also, a little clarification since a lot of people seem to be writing about this. Here's what happens if we hit our base goal, but no stretch goals. The final product that is released will have the following content: FREE Flyable P-47 FREE Flyable Spitfire FREE Flyable Bf.109 FREE Non-Flyable P-51 (can be made flyable for an additional fee) FREE Non-Flyable FW.190D (can be made flyable for an additional fee) FREE Non-Flyable B-17 (cannot be made flyable) FREE Non-Flyable Me.262 (cannot be made flyable) If you back the project at a $20 level, you will receive either the FW.190D or the P-51 as a flyable. If you back the project at a $40 level, you will receive BOTH the FW.190D and the P-51 as flyables. Now, if we hit stretch goals, then all additional aircraft will be seen by everyone as non-flyables, but will be available as a flyable for a fee. If you back at a $20 level, you will choose any ONE of the paid flyables. If you back at a $40 level, you will still receive ALL the paid flyables on release. If we end up meeting our ultimate $1million stretch goal, that means you will receive 13 aircraft for backing at a $40 level or above. And yes, all aircraft will be made to the same level of quality and high standards as the DCS P-51. Edited September 9, 2013 by CaldurSeer
Tvrdi Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Yeah they saw this thread and agreed with you so now there's a 70% off sale....:megalol: Your sense of humor is fantastic. And BTW, since the sale is on steam its 12 bucks for Us folks and 12 euros (16 bucks) for EU guys. And it was 10 bucks this spring...:music_whistling:
TimeKilla Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 They cant be supreme or serious with trees without collision model.....ghost trees in hardcore sim? thats a joke mate To me thats just a daft thing to suggest when you look at what DCS offers with fidelity of the aircraft and flight model. Be fair at least. :) :joystick: YouTube :pilotfly: TimeKilla on Flight Sims over at YouTube.
