Juris
On A10c I had a jump from 13.6 = 10-11 fps 13.8 B2 = 18-19 fps (medium textures & scenes) 13.10 = 25-27 fps (medium textures & scenes). Thats the magic mark for me (and the human eye). Its definitely not an illusion. Thats on a 3.1ghz i5 iMac running triples at 5040x1050 with a 1gb Radeon 6970m (mobile variant). I'm still getting drops to 20fps over towns etc so can't wait to start tweaking to see if I can get it higher. Now about to ruin my own night and try BS2 (or Bullshit, The Return as I've started calling it in terms of performance) and wait for the slideshow to load. Fingers crossed. Laud
Hi Smiladon, have you unlocked your 6950 to 6970? There is about a 14% increase in performance. BUT: The 6950 are 50 and not 70 for some reason. + A little more performance - Higher probability of graphic errors (due to the gpu failing the tests to become a 70) - Higher temperatures -> more noise by the cooling vents I chose to run it as it is, because I hate PCs that are louder than my AC! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming, Intel Core i7 9700k , 32gb Corsair DDR4-3200 Asus RTX 2070 super, Samsung 970 EVO Plus M2, Win10 64bit, Acer XZ321QU (WQHD) TM HOTAS Warthog, SAITEK Rudder Pedals, TIR

O_Smiladon Unfortunately you probably can't do it. the first iterations of that card were unlock able, they had a switch on top of the card. forgot what the switch did but it was an indication that it was unlock able. yrs. ago now. Rhinox
Unfortunately you probably can't do it. the first iterations of that card were unlock able, they had a switch on top of the card. forgot what the switch did but it was an indication that it was unlock able. yrs. ago now. That switch had nothing to do with unlocking, at least not directly. The switch on top of 6950/6970 card allows alternating two different bios-version. So if you cross-flash bios1 (using bios-file of 6970) and you find yourself in big problems (i.e. no graphic output at all) all you have to do is to change switch to bios2, where 6950-bios still was, boot up, and flash back bios1 into 6950. This cross-flashing 6950->6970 was very easy, and afaik worked with over 90% cards of the 1st/2nd series. Having backup-bios in the card made it even quite safe. But this procedure became very popular and AMD/ATI of course got know about it, so in later versions of 6950 they burned-through deactivated units on the GPU, so cross-flashing became impossible... Yup that is what the switch did. along with indicating the ability as mentioned. Good memory Rhinox. Edited October 4, 2013 by AtaliaA1 This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig.
