Just tested, track included. You cannot see the IR or Laser pointer with NVG's in the A10

Night, latch on, both IR, Laser and both - nothing is visible while illuminating the SPI even though it indicates I'm lasing on both HUD and TGP.

Track included, maybe 6 minutes long. I forgot to turn on the laser switch at first..oops

Couldn't replicate the "invisible" IR Pointer in 1.2.6 (test version) or in the internal test version. However, it appears that the texture for the IR Pointer is missing, so I have reported that issue.

I dare say it is related to what you're seeing.

Had the same issue last night with our squad. A-10 was designating target and nobody could see it (I couldn't even see the laser emanating from the target pod). We had a KA-50 and Huey and none of the guys could see it. I tried latch, IR/Laser/Both etc... nothing worked.

Eddie, if you could tell us which texture in particular is missing, we could grab it from an earlier version installation and see whether adding it back in fixes the oroblem.

I've seen several videos of older A-10 versions, where the laser beam was visible through NV. When i lased though, i couldn't see it. I thought i was doing something wrong, good to know it's a known issue.

IR Pointers are visible with the A-10's NVG. I tested it this weekend.

Lasers are not, and never were, visible with any aid.

I confirm; I have the exact same issue. Note that the beam is only visible when the NVG is on and the beam is outside its field of view, though. The beam is not visible, like it should be, when NVGs are off.

Come on, ED, how hard can it be to properly fix this?

this is new AFAIK. I noticed it as well. The IR laser I remember before this update had a sparkle to it or like dust effect? Maybe someone can find a previous version picture.
