So i updated to 1.2.6 and it wont start only the launcher opens then i can wait an hour and still no show of the sim. What the heck happened can some please help me. I just realized this is because I'm still using the old icons on my desktop... they point to Launcher.exe, but they should point to DCS_updater.exe. Check your singleplayer icon, the "Target" line needs to read: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" Once again, Update information can be found in [saved games]/DCS/Logs/autoupdate.log __________________ Should work in your case also. (copy and pasted from another post) This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. When I start DCS from icon, the command prompt window opens briefly with Launcher.exe window title. The window immediately closes, then......nothing. 1.2.5 ran flawlessly. Did the reboot/uninstall/reinstall dance with no change. Specs: Win 7-64 Ram: 6 GB DDR2 CPU: I-5 @3700 Mhz Vid: Radeon 6870 I am thinking perhaps download file error. The program will re-write it at the next startup. using the new install. That one is from the older ver. of the software. Also the new ver. points your icon to "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe". The old install points the icon to "Launcher.exe." Use this to insure your update took affect. by right clicking the icon and checking its properties. This is in my above post. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig.
