Love to...

Anyone interested?

If so what would you like to inclide.

Do u want to see all aircraft on red and blue?

Limited weapons and aircraft?

Penalty time?

Feel free to suggest and if i can i organise it. Anyine from 51st 104th 373rd 159th or any other who runs servers would you host it?

I'd like to have proper sides against each other. It's frustrating to never know whether the 29/27s pinging me are friendly or hostile :D

Another idea is limited loadouts per person. So rather than having a maximum capacity that'll be wasted by dummies you get to carry X amount of Y weapon in your loadout. Imo that makes a better balance, if you start RTBing while you still have 6-8 missiles you won't maintain much of air superiority :)

if you find 30min. MP without a crash as stable, be my guest...!

i would always limit the loadout to keep the balance between red and blue on an equal level (but this is not everytime possible!).

Yes i lean towards red blue equipment.... it creates friction in mission generation.

Its hard to fly SEAD/DEAD in a a10a/c.

limited weapons are a must in my eye..

I also brainstormed today that the most missing out of all missions are neturals. Civilian planes... ground units.

So i will include air corridors with civklian trafic.

Mwd2: i had a plesant suprise the last time i flew on 51st. Ran for 4 hours with 30 of us on it.

a third party would be nice to have.....

Greg told me, his server crashes between 30min. and 1.5 hrs.

What kind of mission do you have played on 51st? Only FC3 aircrafts or also other models, how many ground units, how many clients, have the mission a lot of triggers or scripts?

It was the Return to the inguri

it has all AC and aprox 50 units per side.....

51st guys can tell you for sure

50 AI on each side is not much... in particular if you like to have a 'ground' war happen during your fly time.

There we are then.

It seems ghat client and server crashes happen due to random errors.

Some bugs got squashed some still crawling around and new ones will hatch.

Well i have a vauge idea of what to include and how.

If there are any past or prese t serving militsry personal who like to have a input in it pls pm me.

Also i would lime to know how bad is to have random activations in regard of stabity.

Might be off topic as this point, but I'm totally for this. Many people do not understand how/when to use ECM and it has caused me to hesistate when aiming at enemy MiGs as well as commit fratricide accidentally.

This is how it will be on a 24/7 server because there is little communication and organisation.

An organised one off event shouldn't have this problem, there should be briefings and planning stage built up in a forum over a period of days/weeks where all participants have access and contribute. Flights and packages should be created with time-on-station etc. included. On the event day everyone should be on the same teamspeak in assigned flights an hour before start for organising and brief outline and at least flight leads should be able to communicate on guard or to individual flights with TS. Announcing which flight is on station and off is crucial to building the teams SA and limiting unnecessary chatter.

This is part way to creating a truely engaging and memorable event and should be treated as an extended learning curve to DCS. Everything won't be perfect procedures won't be to the letter but what will happen is that people will enjoy the experience and be ready and more experienced for the next event.

Ok, in a one-off setting, no problem. Sounds awesome honestly. SA and comm are key and I agree, they are terminally lacking in the 24/7 environment.

What else makes the experience is having human controllers such as when we run our Georgian Incident DC there were dedicated GCI operatives controlling and relaying information to the flights using an ATC program especially designed for DCS. This not only keeps everyone in contact with the mission but also drastically increases the immersion.

Oooooooo ... that sounds awesome! Where do I sign up?

Has there been a CA element in previous competitions? At least local air defenses might be fun. I've always thought the comm between ground and air was missing - like in the good old days when spotters could launch fighter intercepts and real FAC's could direct a bomb to a target. But I'm just brainstorming here.
