Fifi Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Hi, So if we missed the kickstarter date, is there still any way to pre-purchase this sim, and eventually add our money to this awesome project to help? ...or is it definitely closed untill official release? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Royraiden Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Hi, So if we missed the kickstarter date, is there still any way to pre-purchase this sim, and eventually add our money to this awesome project to help? ...or is it definitely closed untill official release? It could be open later when alpha/beta stage is ready.A Kikcstarter run for the B-17 was also considered for that time. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Fifi Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 Ah, sorry i missed your answer Royraiden. I'm quite sure they could gain some more founds if opening an other pre-purchase form later on (alpha or beta). I would definitely be in, this time! :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mogster Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I am surprised Luthier didn't continue crowd funding after the Kickstarter closed.
Bassly Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I really hope they would give a second go and allow to donate for the project later on.
taps Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I am surprised Luthier didn't continue crowd funding after the Kickstarter closed. You can "donate" by buying their software.
ED Team NineLine Posted November 27, 2013 ED Team Posted November 27, 2013 You can "donate" by buying their software. I think the point is people want to "donate" before release as they missed the kickstarter... I hope they do something else down the road, like suggested for the B-17 or something else... Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I believe it was stated that donations would be possible once their website is up :)
Mysticpuma Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I think at the moment Luthier is a bit snowed under working out systems and rewards for those who were there for the Kickstarter. Once he has completed that and got the rewards web-page/site up and running, then there may be a possibility of opening up the purchasing again? Currently he has a lot to do for the original Kickstarter backers before taking on any more, I would presume? Cheers, MP
Chivas Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I agree, everything will have to wait until the website is up, which will show everyone's awards, and give those that participated the ability to change those awards. That said I received the DCS P51 almost immediately after the close of kickstarter, maybe because of a relatively substantial kickstarter donation.

Pandacat Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I fully agree to some has been said here. There are quite a lot of people who missed the kickstarter. I am combat flight sim fan but I don't check all the websites and youtube everyday. The promotion for kickstarter was quite subtle and its scope quite limited; only DCS fans were initially aware of it. I fully support B17 fundraising if there is going to be one. But just can't wait. I hope a lot more people will join to make this hot project really a beast.
Mogster Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm not sure how a B17 Kickstarter would go, maybe just let people pre-order giving the pre-order folks alpha and beta access? There will be bills to pay. In the early ROF days I remember Jason Williams from 777 saying that the team preferred cut price pre-orders to full price orders after release.
