I can't seem to make the S-25L work on the Su-25A.

1. I turn the air to ground mode (7)

2. Turn the Laser on

3. Slew the seeker to the target and lock it (Enter)

4. Whait for the orange lamp to light and...

5. Nothing happens - at one point it briefly blinks and that's it

What am I doing wrong?

From SU-25 Manual (p.75):

THE S-25L MISSILE’S MANEUVERABILITY IS VERY LIMITED AND SHOULD ONLY BE LAUNCHED FROM A WINGS-LEVEL DIVE, AS IF PERFORMING AN UNGUIDED ROCKET ATTACK

I too am having trouble with this missile. I did the su25t training mission that trains 3 laser guided missiles. I get thru the first 2 no prob, locked lased and destroyed.... line up with the S25L and it will not fire even with a big LA on screen and in range. what up with that.

by the way the Frogfoot rocks. have owned KA-50 and A-10c for a long time but got a bit overwhelmed.. now that Im trying out the Frog, im finding its the perfect way to ease in!!

Turn the laser on

Yes the laser is on as well. everything done just like the previous 2 missiles I fired that worked.

I will run the laser guided weapons training mission again tonight to see what happens. I fired all of them from the starting altitude, skhval on, laser on, locked, I did turn around to fire the last of the 3 types wich is the s25L maybe the mission is bugged or something so Ill try it in a different mission as well.

I ran the mission again, for the 4rth time, this time they worked. the other times I had straight and lvl autopilot on and this time was nose down on target a little more. don't know if that was the issue but hey, it works.

looks and feels good too!

As you are talking about autopilot, you seem to talk about the Su-25T. This forum is about the Su-25, which is different to the Su-25T. Never the less lasermissiles are easy to shoot:

Turn A2G-Mode on, activate the laser and focus your target. When in range the LA-light turns on: hold the trigger until missile release and correct your targeting point until impact. Only difference for Su-25T: find your Target with the Shkval and activate the laser when in range / launch override and then fire

You just forgot to lock ,to ground stabilize laser.

Edit; I see the trackfile was old, or was it same problem?

S-25L is not an entire missile. It is a rocket with laser guide seeker. That mean the maneuver gonna be much more limited with this weapon.

Just pitch a little more down, so you set reticle around middle Hud at the shot moment. The range to launch is 6 km.
