  8. It's a old question, but I would like to answer it. Is 2 minutes fast for fire unit to actual start firing ? It depends on multible variations : 1 ) What kind of fire unit is being used ? , 81/120mm mortar, houwitzer or missile artillery 2) Are the fire units in Direct Support or General Support ? 3) Is the CFF a pre-planned fire (like High Value Target, Priority Fire, Final Protective Fire), a Danger Close CFF or a "normal" CFF during a fight. 4) At what level are you working ? (company, battelion, brigade, division) Okay, let's say you do a pre-planned PF, with a 120mm mortar unit. Pre-planned means the Fire Unit already knows the coordinates, what the target will be (armord, unarmored, in the open, under cover etc etc etc) plus the Fire Unit is in direct support of your unit, so your CFF doesn't has to pass true the full Fire Support Chain. Your fire request got be on the ground within 1 minute, depending on the distance from the fire unit to the target (travel time granade) Why ? The Fire Unit is in direct support of your unit, so no FDCC were i has to pass true ,it's a pre-planned fire, so the Fire Unit already has the alocated ammo in close proximity, the only thing they need to due is dump it in the pipe (mortar) Okay, next up : A CFF to a Houwitzer (M109 for instance) unit, with the Fire Unit in General Support (this means the Fire Unit is taking CFF's from other units as well, so when you push your CFF it end on top of the pile of other CFF's and the unit "will get to it, when they get to it" (Unless it's a FPF, does ALWAYS go first) Seeing the Fire Unit is in general support, this means your CFF has to pass through multible FDCC's before it actually ends with the Fire Unit : this wil take time ... a lot of time. Then the Fire Controller of the Fire Unit has to figure out with ammo needs to be used for your CFF. Next up is the Fire Unit itself, if it is still working on a CFF from another unit it isn't available for you, so your CFF is being put on the before mentioned pile When the Fire Unit final is able to start working on your CFF they first need to allign the unit to the coordinates in your request, and prep the ammonution allocated to your CFF (this actually happens very fast) So real waiting time for a CFF to be handled by a Fire Unit in general support ? 15/20 minutes (if your lucky) up to a hour and a halve, so do yourself a favor : smoke a mug of coffe, and drink a smoke, you'll have the time. Last up, and this one a real "fun" one : Rocket Artillery. Rocket Artillery works ONLY on brigade level or higher (division) , so the possibilty your as FO of a lowly company to actual be calling in some rockets on a target is so close to zero , it's none existend. What you'll see in real-life, with rocket artillery, is that they will be used in the initial fase of a fight, or used for taking out HVT far behind enemy lines (SO/SF support). The main reason is because ther are so many safety measures that need to be check, deconflicting with air assets, that if you would use rocket artillery in a "normal" setting, it would take up to 2 hours before they would, or actually could, fire a round. Now your second question : the time needed for a Fire Unit to switch from Adjust Fire to Fire For Affect : When you push your CFF for the AF, it already tells the fire unit what target they are getting, if it's armored, unarmored, in cover, in the open etc, so they already know which type and how much ammonition they need. To actually switch from AF to FFA : less then a minute. If they (the Fire Unit) is on their game, I think less then 20 seconds is possible. I hope this explains your questions, and makes sense. If your not familiar with artillery and the 'flow' of a CFF, it 'll give you a massive migrain. (Took me quite a while to understand how this works in real life)

  12. Right now, I can't bind all buttons for the cyclic and TEDAC because I run out of buttons. It would be nice if you could have double bindings for stick mode and TEDAC mode.

Но ведь чаще всего, ничего не говорили! А на скользкие темы, так тем более. Официальные новости ведет VR. Чем так существенно отличается то, что сейчас происходит от того, что было раньше? Единственное, что мне не хватает, так это постов Yo-yo и PilotMi8 на чисто технические темы. Но так и они были немногочисленны. Изредка всплывали в темах.   22. How if I use my settings with my trusty Reverb G2 (getting a smooth 60fps, no twitches, no blurring), I cannot reproduce the same with the Crystal Super?? In fact I cannot get rid of heavy blurring looking left and Right along with catchup stutters, no matter what variables I use in Pimax play. Any earlier Play versions that are clear of these problem please? Currently on 1.40. Regards

Все перевернет с ног на голову и обязательно изо всех сил постарается выйти из спора победителем. Не взирая ни на что. Да и сама обсуждаемая тема - "неблагодарная". Некоторые начали лепить свои домыслы вокруг предмета, о котором ничего не известно. Неведение рождает чудовищ! Но если ничего не знаешь, может быть лучший выход, промолчать?!

The Mi-8 and UH-1 yes, they would have been capable, but I don’t like the equipment of those you need to build mission for that, flying map and chrono is fun just for some time and yeah it is good to know this, we have Mi-8’s where I work for SAR and they are great, but they “look” different inside then the original one made in DCS… I like the CH-47 equipment, but I like to fly something more challenging than that something with tail rotor and who is flying SAR with ch-47 anyway beside that ch-47 does seem quoted after ah-64 since Apache looks far more complete then chinook, the CDU were downgraded in June and for the UH-60L mod: I tried I saw and somebody did a great job on that, but the flight model ? That’s not a simulation, this is not how heli behave unfortunately… SAR features would be nice too and functional hoist and stuff, but this isn’t happening anywhere soon.. we got scripts and fantasy and last thing, the third helicopter from ED I would love to see Blackhawk as somebody said, but don’t know I think Waggs said somewhere that they want to do Mike version but it’s still classified (I can’t imagine classified equipment from UH-60M and non classified in CH-47F where the level of avionics is really similar and aircraft surveillance equipment is not much different then on AH-64) so the UH-60M would be like a dream come true.. and UH-60L, personally it would be great for me, Mike better but why not, since its the most wanted heli of all helicopter pilots in DCS it should have come as the first “modern” heli module, o don’t get why it´s not out for like two or three years now
