If you're looking for balance, you can find it in plenty of other games. A simulator is designed to simulate the technology as it was, not how some players wants it to be. You can believe what you want, but in reality, all systems have their limitations. And electronic intelligence systems have many of them too. As for the SPO-15, there's nothing surprising about it. The Soviets were never strong in electronics and lagged behind the US by a decade.

I appreciate and respect your passion, but please stay on the topic.

The average power of the APG-63 is also greater than the average power of the N001: 2 kW versus 1.5 kW. You don't know history well. The first AWACS appeared in the US and were used during the Vietnam War, at a time when the USSR was still only considering it. The SAGE semiautomatic interceptor guidance system also first appeared in the US on F-102/106 aircraft. And after that, the Soviets began copying it, developing their own VOZDUKH systems.

Just as a data point, I tried a instant action mission yesterday (cold start caucasus), and wouldn’t you know it, I almost crashed because the frickin trim was inverted. I didn’t change a thing from earlier. Neither in DCS nor in VP config or TelemFFB. Tried another mission I made myself and everything went back to normal…… Can‘t wrap my head around it so far…..

B-1R The B-1R was a 2004 proposed upgrade of existing B-1B aircraft.[163] The B-1R (R for "regional") would be fitted with advanced radars, air-to-air missiles, and new Pratt & Whitney F119 engines (from the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor). This variant would have a top speed of Mach 2.2, but with 20% shorter range.[164] Existing external hardpoints would be modified to allow multiple conventional weapons to be carried, increasing overall loadout. For air-to-air defense, an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar would be added and some existing hardpoints modified to carry air-to-air missiles

Yes, that effects Single Player all the same. The biggest offenders (next to Anti Virus real time protection) ate those I mentioned above. The Power service can be disabled permanently on a desktop system (well you loose any power savings functionality of course but I figured that performance is the No. 1 priority here). It is important that this isn’t the same as choosing a performance power plan (which will have the service probing the system all the time nevertheless). There is more in the services that can be permanently disabled but that’s a topic on its own and can be researched on youtube (Chris Titus e.g.) For reference, my system shows <100 processes in the task manager when idling on the desktop (whereas an unoptimised system can easily have >200). Admittedly most of this is OCD hygiene and not really noticeable as performance improvement since most processes are sound asleep when not needed. Different story with apps that are actually running WHILE you are flying. RGB, Hardware Monitoring, etc….. the more of those you can live without, the better. Some are worse than others. I couldn’t find an issue with Afterburner/Riva telemetry. But the fancy Aquasuit I control my custom waterloop with chops up the frame time pretty badly. Fortunately it doesn’t need to run.

И что дальше следует из этой копипасты?

Actually you are wrong on this, in fact when it comes to both a game and realism, ED should in fact strive towards balance, and balance not meaning to make every jet working the same, but making a standard across all modules in terms of modelling of FM, avionics, damage, weapons etc... and not have one module done this way, while others the other way. Doing so IMHO just creates BIAS and away from realism, because realism doesn't just mean one thing being done realistically, while others which it is interacting with, are not. PS: I for one, do not accept that SPO-15 was done properly as I just can't believe Russian engineers would have designed this system this way. To model the system to always have some possible issues due to maintenance etc as if it was designed to work this way all the time, is just wrong and it seems this is how MiG-19A RWR has been modelled which is not alright.

B-1A The B-1A was the original B-1 design with variable engine intakes and Mach 2.2 top speed. Four prototypes were built; no production units were manufactured.[133][162] B-1B The B-1B is a revised B-1 design with reduced radar signature and a top speed of Mach 1.25. It is optimized for low-level penetration. A total of 100 B-1Bs were produced

Using the cannon with the central external fuel tank?

Yes, it’s in the manual by ED. You can try it yourself- 1 reply

Idk where you saw that. You don’t need to touch anything APU related on startup becuase the APU starts automatically and you have enough battery. -
HSI knob does not work smoothly backwards (freez at 0 deg.)
YoYo posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
When I try to turn the HSI knob below zero, it freezes. It stays at zero and can't be set to a lower value, like 350. Only after a certain amount of time (a lot of turning, not like forward) is it able to jump over 0 and go to a value below. This should be rather smooth; turning the knob forward should work the same way backward. Importantly, I use the buttons for this, and whenever I turn it back to below zero, the knob freezes. I'll add a track later. Thank you. -

Потому, что топлива не хватит. А у земли МиГ едва ли быстрее.

Yes, I’ve tried the demo — it’s much better than the current version.

I don't think so, since you've gone off-topic. The topic is about a request to introduce buttons that would work step by step. The configuration topic is a separate topic, and it's worth discussing there if you have something new. Thanks, could you provide the title? I have several original pilot manuals—Yugoslavian, Soviet, German, and Polish—but they don't have that section. It does specify the 25 degrees, but as before, it's about the entire configuration. The buttons don't control the flap angle only, as some people believe, but the front flaps and rudder deflection. You have to look at it holistically. A friend of mine, a MiG-29 9.12 pilot, promised to check his notes and get back to me with more detailed information. At least he told me that the airframe configuration varied depending on the buttons.

@BIGNEWY Could you provide some insights into these error codes?

You seem to have misunderstood the game. Balancing isn't DСS's job. Every developer here strives to make the aircraft model closer to reality. And if that's how reality works, there's no point in distorting it to make things more convenient for some players.
