Latest update hangs

I updated my Beta and Stable DCS environments yesterday 10/24 and now DCS hangs in both versions. I have tried going into the module manager and campaigns and in both cases DCS hangs trying to open those menus. I have to kill the app from the Task Manager.

 

DCS what have you done?

Please fix this bug ASAP.

[update: I removed my usb wheel and my second usb keyboard, now it starts up fine again. Had never a problem with older dcs versions. Perhaps the way controllers are handled changed.]

Your feedback is very important, and doesn't seem correlated to the OP. Next time please create a new thread.

Can you reproduce the crash if you plug back your USB wheel and second USB keyboard?

It is working after unplugging wheel and second keyboard, but I lost my [edit: spitfire (A10 II controls are working) control settings. So perhaps a reset of my control configuration happened and is related to the problem.

 

I will now try replugging wheel and second keyboard and report back soon.

With the Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing wheel plugged in it crashes again.

 

With the second keyboard plugged in it is working fine.

Since the last update, I cant start DCS anymore. Never ever happend to me in my long DCS carriere. Never had any problem with an update.

Seems its trying to open a track-file? I have done a complete openbeta reinstall inclusive deleting the user-folder. Still get that same crash. Submited the crash-log earlier. Here is a sample on whats going on before the crash:

You could try unplugging your controllers and check if it is related to my problem (On my PC it only crashes with TM 500 Racing wheel plugged in.)

I have the same problem too, I solved the problem by unpluging my Thrustmaster T300RS.

[Correction:] I only lost my spitfire settings for all controllers. In the A10 II the controls are working fine. Yesterday last plane I flew and changed my controls was the F5. Will update further info later if necessary

The crash only occurs with the thrustmaster t150 connected, but when i unplug the t150 and the game loads completely, i can plug this problemic device again and it works fine. Of course I have to do this every time when i want to run the game.

When I disconnect my Trustmaster RX300 Wheel, DCS loads just fine. Not having this behavior prepatch. Please have a look into this. Im not the only one it seems.

The thing is, I'm playing from a gaming laptop, and when I try to open DCS, even with nothing plugged in, I still get the same error. I've tried disabling some built-in devices, uninstalling the graphics driver, updating all drivers and nothing.

I have reported the steering wheel crash to the team and they are looking into it.

Meanwhile waiting for a fix from ED, you could try using devreorder in https://github.com/briankendall/devreorder. It helped me solved Sekiro PS4 controler (ds4windows) problem.
