Because enabling LUA export on the server opens it up to those that would use that data to cheat. Don't ever accuse those providing servers to you free of charge of being selfish. Just record a track, use LOTU to open the views and then record a tacview. And don't just study the tacview, study the track as well. It will show you things the tacview can't show you.

Of confusion, like everyone else:D

I was told that the best way for me to improve (after I ranted about some guy dodging 4 of my R-27EMs at close range) was to download Tacview, so I downloaded it. Now I realize that it has no use since a lot of the popular servers don't allow Tacview ACMI files to be recorded. This is really frustrating and I wanna know why they would be so selfish. How would it affect them?

Я являюсь бета-тестером SimMod . Точнее конкретно этой модели. Раскажу вкратце историю. Была взята модель от стороннего автора объёмом в 200 с чем то тысяч полигонов. Геметрией она страдала изначально, но внешне выглядела симпатичнее дефолтной из ЛО. С разрешения автора над ней поочерёдно издевались разные люди. Очень грубо были убиты полики и модель подогнали под стандарт от ЕД (на тот момент) в 50тысяч. Затем за модель взялся Yeniceri. Были сделаны анимация, маппинг, модель повреждений, кое-что добавлено в самой модели. На геометрию внимания особого не обращали, т.к. это был первый опыт команды. В итоге в полигонах вылезли немного за 100тысяч. Текстуры были выполнены разными авторами. Надо сказать, что весьма неплохо выполнены и скрывают недостатки модели. Моё мнение - весьма неплохо для начала. Команда набралась опыта. Уверен, что следующие проекты ещё всех удивят. ps у меня оставлена старая ЛОшная модель :)

Hi, I have been thinking about this for a while and I guess now is the time where Ill ask all of you cool guys to join a free networking comunity. You all have heard about it "Myspace" I feel that yes we all know each other and stuff but this social net work will alow us to comunicate and network with way more detail. Some points of interest and reasons why we should create profiles on "Myspace" to further or friendships and social networks. 1. Its free!! 2. You can post pictures, videos, and other forms of media with great detail about your families and interests. 3. Its a great way to make new friends with similar interests. 4. Our current "Social networking" paltform consists of this fourm and squad sites which limit our data entry and networking posibilities. 5. Its free, ohhh I said that. There's no real 'AMRAAM exploits' ... the problem is that the beryoza shows the 120's range from you very reliably, and it shouldn't (in fact, it should probably have trouble giving you a warning against a 120 to begin with); couple that with seriously deficient speed and easily affected seeker and you have a poor weapon. As for the ET, it's just a matter of firing it without LA which just isn't done in RL AFAIK. But, hey, it's a game ... until/if ED fixes it, people will use this. That's all there is to it ;)

Да.... просто замечательное открытие. Назовите хоть еще одну игрокотнтору (с любым жанром), у которой максимальные настройки графики сделаны для роликов, а не для игры. То что вы не можете сделать распаллеливание расчёта окружающего мира хотябы на два потока вы считаете оправданием тормозов? Да хрен с ней, с графикой. Но если при сотне объектов в режиме карты (либо камеры в небо) опять фпс будет умирать... если память опять будет утекать (например как сейчас если настройки сцен сервера и клиента оличаются)... не будет вам, разработчикам, оправдания на этом свете.

:D Agreed and thank you for the compliment yoda. To my recollection we are as yet undefeated whether flying as 51st or late 504th pilots and I attribute this record to flying as a team and using tactics to overcome odds (with a small bit of luck thrown in). Having said that, I am one of the least skilled pilots of the 51st, and as such, the least qualified to say how we win. I can only say that we do and attribute it to training in a strict and "realistic" way... As for et/120 exploits: While flying online in hyperlobby I must admit that I have often "maddogged" an et when unable to gain a lock (usually in a rather desparate situation). The flaws and exploits of lock on are here to stay and we must adapt and learn to use them or counter them effectively in order to survive in the a2a arena of hyperlobby... Having said that, I feel I must add that in the squad vs squad arena these flaws often count for squat, and only great SA and mutual support can effectively counter the enemy's provocations... Ban or allow "maddogging" as you will. But if you would ban it, then be aware that you are opening the door for other people to demand the banning of other, less exploitative tactics currently employed online whenever those people may feel "wronged" in some way. After "maddogging", comes "spamming"... Would you instead have us fire only one missile at a time, as the AI currently does? ~S!
