Server is in Stockholm, Sweden, under my kitchen table :P.
A few notes on development status:
You may already see the server sending messages about completed
objectives. This is what you will see when primary objectives are
completed (and the percentage).
The mission rotates based on this or when it reaches a mission specific
maximum mission time.
We are in the process of finalizing the campaign missions, and the first
campaign consisting of 5 missions will be up within a few days. Naturally
mission rotation is based on outcome of the previous mission. If neither side
completes the primary objective then the mission is simply restarted
at the end of the mission.
Primary objectives are usually hard to reach but somewhat easy to find.
They are marked on the map and once they are all taken out mission will rotate.
(for example : liberate airfield A by taking out all enemy units nearby)
Some missions will also have multiple primary objectives.
Development progress on Secondary objectives
The server will at some point (hopefully soon if we can get some
good help with setting up a stats page) mission objective based stats.
Your place on the stats board will be determined by a "score", number of points,
given by
1. how you accomplish primary and secondary objectives ingame
2. How much time you spend on winning side vs time on losing side
3. Kill death ratio
The Total score on the stats page is then these 3 contributions together
divided by your total flight hours.
Points are only given when a minimum of 2 players are on each team.
Primary objectives are already implemented in server software and is being read fine.
Kill death ratio is also implemented (we are simply not connected to a database yet)
The last part, secondary objectives are currently being discussed and in the process of being implemented.
Currently they will work like this :
In each mission briefing you will see a list of 1-3 (or maybe more) secondary objectives.
Each of these secondary objectives are multi-stage-objectives(MSOs).
This means they have several stages and must SOMETIMES be completed in a specific order
to get the full score.
One mission may for example include two blue secondary objectives : THESE ARE EXAMPLES: Deep Strikes
Deep strike 1 would require you to
1. take out target a
2. take out target b
3. Land at home base. (This last part must naturally be done after the other two;))
Deep strike 2 would require you to
1. Reach target area and destroy any possible AI CAP in the area
2. bomb some stuff on the ground
3. find another target and take it out
4. land at home base.
Deep Strike 1 might require you to do all objectives in order, while Deep Strike 2 might
allow you to complete them in any order you want (except for the landing part.)
You start an MSO by performing one of the stages in it (except the landing part).
Your performance is then judged by
1. completion time
2. avg completion percentage.
Then when you complete it you get a nice big bonus on the stats page
If you die while being on an MSO mission then your current status for that MSO is frozen
This means you will get the avg completion percentage as it stands when you were killed.
If you rejoin you may not attempt that specific MSO again until the server rotates mission(it wont give you any points),
BUT you can still try another different MSO.
