  1. My first day here in Sint Petersburg, got to make about 350 foto's on one day  A few Mi-8's parked at Pulkovo airport Right next door to my hosting family, this disused tanks-storage area, looks like T-72's? Typical highway and offramp MANY MANy of these ??Tupelov??'s flying overhead to land at Pulkovo. Watch out!! A su-25T parked in one of those potholes  The roads are in quite a good shape, just getting out on the rural areas is a pothole infested desaster. Railway crossing with extra safety precations, these ramps automatically appears when the booms go down. An "elektritshka" arriving at the Vokzal (station) of Strelna Me at Petergoff, the former royal palace. With a little extra russkaya devouchka  The COOOOOOLEST THING: me with real life Operation Flashpoint/ArmA soldiers!! Ural: Food for the Su-25T's Vikhr OMFG!!!! EXACTLY like in the movies :helpsmilie: Some of these ol' Soviet-area Zhikolis still roam the roads. Most russians drives brand new 4x4 SUV's. uuuurrrmmm, public transport. need i say more? ONE of the many delights..

  3. The 27T is more maneuverable at its medium firing range compared to r73 at its medium firing range in my tests. Example Try barellrolling a mach 2 r73 vs barellrolling mach 2 r27t. much easier vs r73 for me. Why this is I dont know. For me its something like this: Barelling missiles (when it passes you mach 2) aim9 (easiest, will only reach mach 2 at very high alts in lockon) r73 amraam/r77 same R-27/Aim7 are especially more difficult than the others.

  5. I guess ED is pretty much busy with military contracts (which are obviously more rewarding then entertaintment sim business) and resources are directed to military sims... That is why we will not see this sim this year imho...

  9. Server is in Stockholm, Sweden, under my kitchen table :P. A few notes on development status: You may already see the server sending messages about completed objectives. This is what you will see when primary objectives are completed (and the percentage). The mission rotates based on this or when it reaches a mission specific maximum mission time. We are in the process of finalizing the campaign missions, and the first campaign consisting of 5 missions will be up within a few days. Naturally mission rotation is based on outcome of the previous mission. If neither side completes the primary objective then the mission is simply restarted at the end of the mission. Primary objectives are usually hard to reach but somewhat easy to find. They are marked on the map and once they are all taken out mission will rotate. (for example : liberate airfield A by taking out all enemy units nearby) Some missions will also have multiple primary objectives. Development progress on Secondary objectives The server will at some point (hopefully soon if we can get some good help with setting up a stats page) mission objective based stats. Your place on the stats board will be determined by a "score", number of points, given by 1. how you accomplish primary and secondary objectives ingame 2. How much time you spend on winning side vs time on losing side 3. Kill death ratio The Total score on the stats page is then these 3 contributions together divided by your total flight hours. Points are only given when a minimum of 2 players are on each team. Primary objectives are already implemented in server software and is being read fine. Kill death ratio is also implemented (we are simply not connected to a database yet) The last part, secondary objectives are currently being discussed and in the process of being implemented. Currently they will work like this : In each mission briefing you will see a list of 1-3 (or maybe more) secondary objectives. Each of these secondary objectives are multi-stage-objectives(MSOs). This means they have several stages and must SOMETIMES be completed in a specific order to get the full score. One mission may for example include two blue secondary objectives : THESE ARE EXAMPLES: Deep Strikes Deep strike 1 would require you to 1. take out target a 2. take out target b 3. Land at home base. (This last part must naturally be done after the other two;)) Deep strike 2 would require you to 1. Reach target area and destroy any possible AI CAP in the area 2. bomb some stuff on the ground 3. find another target and take it out 4. land at home base. Deep Strike 1 might require you to do all objectives in order, while Deep Strike 2 might allow you to complete them in any order you want (except for the landing part.) You start an MSO by performing one of the stages in it (except the landing part). Your performance is then judged by 1. completion time 2. avg completion percentage. Then when you complete it you get a nice big bonus on the stats page If you die while being on an MSO mission then your current status for that MSO is frozen This means you will get the avg completion percentage as it stands when you were killed. If you rejoin you may not attempt that specific MSO again until the server rotates mission(it wont give you any points), BUT you can still try another different MSO.

  10. Now when nuke-lovers are warmed up I can say what I was really going to say at the beginning. A screen flashing to white followed by dramatic debrifing will do :D Edit: OT - I remember the time of C64 F-119 Stealth Fighter. Black screen with the sign "Canopy blown. Hold on!" It was just fine :pilotfly:
